Just purchased another REVEAL X during their holiday sale. I'm now a proud owner of (4) four Tactacam REVEAL cellular trail cameras.

I should receive the camera next week.

None of the other three REVEALs have been out of service ever since I placed them afield last July of 2022. They have remained fully operational ever since.

Pretty happy with the cameras.

So do you pay for those on your cell phone bill?

The phone bill has nothing to do with the Tacatacam REVEAL account, they are two different/separate animals.

Everything Tactacam gets paid for right up front at the time of purchase of any camera equipment, and/or accessories. I'll add the camera to my REVEAL annual pro service plan/account when I'm ready for the camera to go LIVE at the time of installation/setup.

So what does it cost you to operate them and are there any extra cost or pic limits

Try doing a youtube search for further information. That's what I did. Yes, there is extra cost charged to your account if you choose to download HD content remotely via cell-service, an additional $5/50 of pix or videos.

It likely will not work very well on that road, Martin. Maybe up on the ridge. But I wouldn't trust the crazy ass in the jeep. He seems to like walking ridges.

Would like to hear how it’s working after some time. Replacing lithium aa batteries is so expensive and time consuming. Was really thinking about trying your set up

I've been super impressed with the little Tactacam that I hooked to a little 3ah external battery. I let the plan laps after season but it sent 4,250 pictures and was still reporting 100%.

The REVEAL X Tactacam @theotherfarm is still operating on the last set of batteries since late December 22. It's still registering 100% in battery life too, but I have intensions of swapping them out with a charged set next week.

The best configuration out of the three that I have was shared in post #34 (thirty four) inside the other Cellular Camera' thread. That's how the camera setup is configured. Those are the best and smallest extended batteries out of the bunch that I have used now for nearly a full year. The red pair is all I'll be using going forward for now on.

Saving $$$ big time with these batteries over the lithium AAz!

Good luck man!

I just pulled 3 tactacams from farms that we put up before muzzleloader last year and they were still taking pics after being out all winter with just cheap Duracell batteries. I plan on adding some solar panels to them this year, the solar panels we put on the cams in ky worked out great. I did decide to go back to running regular cams for now and just use cell cams once season comes in. and I'm only gonna run them on places I can't get to and check every couple weeks. My dad got a deal on some of the Bushnell spot on cams, 20 bucks each so I got 10 not sure about the Quality but for the money I'll try them out.

Tactacam question..... When requesting a video, I receive it fairly quickly. When I request second video soon after receiving the first from a different cam, it takes forever to receive . Has anyone experienced this delay ?
