How can they prove he shot it on someone else's property, unless they have pictures or witnesses? Maybe location data on his phone?

My gut instantly told me the entire story smells like a giant pile of shit. My experience told me to keep my damn mouth shut until it's in the paper. Regardless the outcome, this entire ordeal is a stark reminder of why deer hunters freaking suck. Do a quick FB search to watch the crap being spewed on both sides. I've never seen so much grown man drama. The Ohio deer hunting FB groups are a cess pool for deer hunters. Its the who's who for attention deprived deer hunters in Ohio.

If he’s got counsel, they’re telling him to STFU and don’t talk to anyone.
If you did nothing wrong why do you need counsel for just killing a deer. It would be easy for myself to show all the evidence of what happened. A whole lot of sign gets layed down when you arrow a deer. Gut a deer . Remove a deer from the woods. It should not be this complicated. It wasn't for Mike Beatty.
I don’t know how many times it has to be said, and I hope you never are found in any situation remotely too this. But you will be your own worst enemy if questioned by any law enforcement without counsel present.

The huntr boys put out a statement that they were told he confessed to poaching it. Don’t know who their sources would be but they had him on the podcast so might now something. I was hoping and still hope it’s legit.
Luckily for myself I know the wardens I would be dealing with. On a deer like that the first thing I would have done is to invite them to where I killed him and walked them through what took place. Nothing to hide and all of the evidence fresh and easy to read.
That has worked for every world class buck that's been killed legally for the last thirty five years. Now if I shoot him and he died over the fence my actions would be a lot different
