Staying consistent with the low/no carbs and no sugar. I’m feeling great and yesterday I weighed in at 185. Big improvement from the 205 I weighed back in August. My energy and acuity throughout the day has increased significantly. And I too have noticed the weird heightened sense of smell that Joe mentioned.

A few things I’ve been eating… ground pork, venison, ground beef, summer sausage, waterfowl, mixed nuts (cashews, almonds, pecans, pistachios), sardines, tuna pouches, lots of eggs, cottage cheese, and some vegetables here and there. I’ve managed to steer clear of any/all soda and instead drink nothing but coffee, water, and unsweetened iced tea.

Today makes days 25 of working 16+ hours in a row. I am weak and grabbed a booster this morning. Anyone ever see how bad these are for you. I had a Starbucks black coffee with mineral salt and honey the other day. I just don't like the bitterness.

They're not bad. I'm not a fan of the seltzer drinks but they're lightyears better for you than drinking a C4 or Monster. I tried one yesterday and didn't hate it, didn't like it either. I took it more as a cheat that wasn't really a cheat. And as a bonus they don't make your ears tingle like a C4 does. For sure no whachacha. 🤣

I may have eaten sardines on a pork rind with hot sauce for lunch. But you'll pry Christmas tree cakes from my cold dead slightly arthritic hands! 🤣

I thoroughly respect the hill you’ve chosen to die on. 😂

I’m all-in on this change of life. However, Thanksgiving will soon be here, and I will NOT turn away pumpkin pie and cool whip. Or stuffing.

Same. I'm going to bank the good eating days but when it comes to christmas tree cake season, i'll indulge responsibly. Diet and holistic life changes are like Jesus. If you don't sin every once in a while then he died for nothing. 🤣

I further hate you guys. Christmas tree cakes are my jam. I literally look forward to them all year. So much so I bought two boxes of 5 yesterday. Normally I would have eaten 2-3 cakes the same day I purchased them. Despite remembering they're in the cabinet 6 or more times I haven't opened them yet. Not because of some stupid willpower, or some "I have to stick to my diet" crap. But I just don't want them. Like my memory wants them, but my body gags a little. I just don't want it.

I pulled up to the local ace to get some hardware for the boat. My favorite Chinese buffet is right next door. Normally I would think to myself "Oh hell yeah, I should go make them lose some money today" like I would be excited to go pound some fried shrimp, eggrolls, noodles, rice, imitation crab in mayo and cheese. I looked at it and thought "Oh hell yeah, and in mid-thought my body said "fucking gross"

I've only been eating clean for 10 days. Meats, fish, seafood, eggs, veggies, nuts, fruit. No processed sugars, processed foods, and zero breads. Things I used to love now feel gross to think about eating.

Kristi went to a work out session yesterday with a trainer and made the mistake of saying, "I don't eat carbs" to the trainer, when she told Kristi that partway through the workout she would start burning excess carbs who then freaked out and basically told her she was going to die, blah blah blah. And then asked how long have you been doing this? Your body needs carbs, blah blah. You can't continue to eat like this yada yada.

This is why I hate talking about it. The haters are real haters. They just can't wait to call you stupid.

She needs a new trainer.

I don't necessarily think carbs are bad. Processed carbs are bad, starchy carbs probably aren't good. I'm sure there a facy word to distinguish them. There's a ton of natural carbs in things like apples, oranges, berries, oats etc. But processed carbs in things like bread and French fries IMO are no Bueno.
