Dammit. Even the deer are woke now. Had a feeling based on the rut this had happened.

Anybody else seeing a noticeable spike in coyote activity on the trail cams last few days? Thinking I have a better chance at a yote this weekend than a doe.

First sit of gun season. Not going to jinx myself by saying it seems deery out. Looking for one more doe to stuff the new freezer. Hunting a bench full of oak trees so we’ll see.

Dad just got an average sized doe. Only second deer he’s seen in over 15 hours of hunting this week. Things are stupid right now.

Skunked last night and this morning. Conditions seemed perfect. Deer must be resting up after a couple weeks of chasing.

Funny thing you mention the Prusik knot. Same thing happened to me and dad this morning. I don’t ever remember that happening in 10 plus years of using those things.
