Beautiful morning. Sitting in one of my favorite rut stands this morning just making sure it’s good to go.

Saw 11, 3 young bucks. Good hunt

You guys get to hunt a cold front, I get 65*. Before I could pull up my weapon a doe and 2 fawns took off behind me. This stand is in a great location but creaks and pops everytime you shift your weight. Good luck to anyone that’s out.

I'm not sure I personally would like it mixed with squirrels but a display with 6 squirrels would really look cool.

Latest display: a buddy was tying squirrel carriers at work. I asked him to make me one that is different lengths to hang shed antlers from. Not sure I’ve found the correct resting home for it yet but it looks cool to me. It’s hard to get a good pic of it

What part of Athens county. I owned 102 acres there for a while and lease 65 acres now.

I saw 2 does from the stand and a tail when I hit the ground. There were a few sketchy moments with wind gusts.

You guys all got a beautiful weekend to hunt and I get this….. Hurricane winds! Pray for my safety. Hunting at the lease in Athens county where we hung a new stand last week.

Saw 6. One small buck worked the scrape I was watching.

These boards are ship-lapped. If your sawyer does his job correctly all you have to do is get the first row level and it is really easy after that. We did the same thing for the walls and ceiling at our Athens county cabin.
