    Friggin Ticks!

Been finding ticks since January. Couldn't get to sleep last night because I found 3 of the pinhead sized ticks on me when I went to bed and was itchy and paranoid the rest of the night.

    Baseball Journal

What league is that? It certainly isn't Little League because they don't pay any umpires.

    Black coyote?

Unfortunately they aren't worth anything in the fur market, even in good years. They do good in the novelty market though

    Black coyote?

Wouldnt quite say that they are rare. Just not common here. The farther south you go and closer to the coast, black coyotes are more common.

    4H projects

If you take the muskrat project, which is a year one and year two project, may as well do exploring ponda project and fishing as well.

    4H projects

Trapping muskrats in ohio is a good one. Not a lot of competition in that category. I used to judge that project at our fair years ago.

    Pellet Grills

I've just gotten a Reqtec pellet smoker in January and done some cooks in freezing temps with no issues holding temp. They're a heavier machine than some of the cheaper smokers.

Tagged coyote killed 107 miles from tagging location

Its only a week's worth of travel if he went straight there. Likely he meandered a bit many times before it got to the final destination.

Tagged coyote killed 107 miles from tagging location

Yep it would be hard to do a control. Obviously we wouldn't have some animals in spots we have them today if it weren't for some long range dispersal animals.

Tagged coyote killed 107 miles from tagging location

Some animals just seem to want to do a walk-about. I kinda wonder if this is more prevalent among tagged animals as a result of the tagging process. For instance, several years ago a nuisance black bear was radio collared in WVa and released outside of town. Came across the river and they...

    Pole barn must haves...

You could insulate a garage door later. Not sure what the cost difference would be. Of course with prices going up its likely to be cheaper to buy the door insulated now

    Pole barn must haves...

Think I'd like to have one heavily insulated room built in that doesn't take much to heat/cool.

    Gray fox

There's a couple studies going on. OSU is doing one now and Suzie Prange was doing one, haven't heard much from her lately.

    23-24 Proposed Deer season changes

How about getting some of the big money groups involved... NWTF, Whitetails Unlimited, etc.? Do like the the increase in my areas, got more people that want me to hunt than I can get tags for.

    Bowhunters / Shoulder Shots

Just another consideration on this map... For the unrecovered deer, you're trusting where the hunter said he hit the deer if you dont have video/pictures of the impact site.

    23-24' proposed changes

If i remember the numbers right, the early muzzleloader harvest numbers wasnt worth it. So I doubt they'll go back to it. With the way guys are hunting now. I wouldn't be surprised to see better numbers for bucks anyways if they did institute it again. Going through my memory again, I think the...

    South East Ohio Timber

Maple and beech can get pretty quick if left alone too long and outcompete younger trees you want.

    Feed/Bait ban coming?

I think youd lose a segment of the hunter population and maybe see a reduction in in-state leasing.
