Yes. Saw so few deer on the 80 acre farm I hunt there that I opted not to kill one. I'm not sure what it's like county wide but as far as my area goes, if people really want to kill one, they can, otherwise it would be better for the herd to have somewhat of a break for a year to rebound after...

The issue I see is that there are different deer densities within different areas of a single county. Especially with counties like summit and stark counties which have both rural and urban areas. They keep upping the deer you can kill in stark and I'm seeing less and less every year...

Okay, I posted a couple days ago asking if anyone entered and got a couple replies but have any of you gotten drawn or hunted in the parks or know someone that has? Where and did you or the person you know go and did they do any good? My dad and my hunting buddy both got drawn so I'm feeling...

Interesting, I would consider myself in pretty solid shape so I still hope I get drawn. I know some some giants live in the parks, that's why I want in.

It isn't one of the options on the ODNR website. You have to be a summit county resident and print an entry form from the summit metroparks website, then mail it in.

Schwackers don't open until it's inside the deer so if you don't get a pass through you may be sol. I've never used them, that's just my 2 cents. I do use rage though and love them.

Did anyone enter for the chance to hunt in some of the various parks in summit county? I didn't even realize they were doing it again this year but googled it and saw the entry deadline was the next day (July 19th). I lucked out on that one!

This is awesome. I'm only 23 and I'm feeling the same way. I got all my friends into hunting but no one is as passionate about hunting as I am. I've only met a couple people in my life that live for deer hunting as much as I do. They're few and far between. Good luck on your search!

I have the gander mountain version and I like it a lot. It's light and made of mesh and I can pull it over whatever I'm wearing. I think I got it for around $70 on sale.
