    Turkey hunting accidents.

That's my point. In the spring it can't be just a turkey, it must be a bearded bird. That you have to see. I do not believe that I have ever heard a tom yelp, yelp, yelping in the spring. So why do people shoot at the yelp, yelp, yelp? Is it criminal negligence? Maybe it should be.

Safety not on? Those kind of sad things can be prevented.

    Buck or doe?

I believe it is a Marlin 512 Slugmaster. I got it on sale real cheap at a Walmart in CT when I lived there years ago. It is a bit of a club with barn wood, but it does shoot quite well. It has taken a few deer.

    Pheasants

Years ago when I deer hunted with a vertical bow I would keep one of my arrows tipped with a Judo point just for those targets of opportunity such as dumb squirrels. My buddy came back to camp once with an arrow with a nut and a squirrel on it just to show me. Target point went through the...

Did Ithaca make that model? I would like to see a pic of that. I have a 28 gage Wingmaster that is a sweet heart.

    Turkey hunting accidents.

I have a question about turkey hunting accidents. If you are not a poacher trying to shoot a hen in the spring, how does one accidently shoot another hunter? Is it the size of the beard on the hunter that gets him shot? Does the hunter go into full display just before the shot? What part of...

    Quail

I picked up a nice stainless 20 gage SKB O/U with choke tubes a couple of years ago. I think I paid about $1000.00 for it at Cabela's. Been real happy with it. The cheap 100 count ammo packs from Walmart work well in it. Good quail loads they are.

    Beagle connection

I have a breeder friend who is getting out of the busines due to a bad back. He still has a 7 week old tri colored female pup and a wonderful adult hunter. He also has a starting pen full of rabitts, bunch around the house too. Don't know what he is going to do with them, that never came...

    Flintlock range report.

See the mud on the deer's legs? He ran a short distance and died in a small bog. What a mess pulling him out. You go to pull and your boots just go under the mud and he goes nowhere.

    Flintlock range report.

Yes they did. Got 4 regulars and 4 nubes that follow them in dailey. Guess I'll have to do a pic update. Their coats look very full and very nice.

The ladder stand was at deer camp used at the archery range. Don't remember what the rope was tied to, just used it for the pic.

    Flintlock range report.

PA Hunter. It is a real good sparker and accurate shooter. I had so much fun with it that I got a .36 cal Green Mountain barrel for it. Now that is a hoot!

Like Sam, I too enjoy the art of flint locking. Here is a pic of a younger Fred living in a different state where your hair was allowed to be dark and full camo was permissable during ML season.

    Comments/Reviews on Electronic Callers?

I just posted on the "other" site asking to compare the Foxpro Spitfire to the Johnny Stewart PreyMaster and the Primos Power Dogg. My Budget is about $200.00.
