Crazy. Glad to hear they're doing well. I need to go take an antibody test next week. We could have had it two weeks ago based in the symptoms. Who knows. Your buddy that keeps getting it, is he vaccinated?

Seeing Geezer's press releases and Joe's. . . I feel the problem is simple: lack of transparency. In this day and age we can all find info supporting either side of an argument. Finding unbiased data to form our opinion is the difficult part. I don't think anyone wants to make this pandemic (or plandemic to some) worse. Everyone wants to do what is best. With fuzzy propaganda and even fuzzy data from major media, sure makes it tough to make a decision for some. It's easier to just get the vaccine because the press and politicians are pushing it so hard. Pretty easy to see why people are skeptical. Easy to see why there are "conspiracy theorists". To me? Divide and conquer is working. They've got the nation split on this virus. Got the nation split on race "issues." Whoever is pulling the puppet strings to divide the nation is smiling.

I agree transparency is key. What I posted is from a CDC case study on the recent outbreak of infections in Massachusetts. I'm not saying the other articles don't have validity or any truth to them, but rather what the CDC released yesterday is based on a study, not a reporters interview with people giving their observations. I don't search for articles to support my belief or desired opinion, never have, I let the data decide my belief and opinion and reality falls where it may. There is no doubt that unvaccinated people are at a greater risk. But the vaccine is not the magic immunity bullet they've made it out to be either.

I don't search articles to support "my belief" just to compare data and reports - transparency would be great. I see and hear blah blah blah......and question " is that right " - so look for blah blah blah - to verify the blah blah blah - for me too many shade tree medical experts i

On Monday this week I felt like a million dollars. superb day at work despite having to endure the heat and work on a hot roof for a couple of hours. repeat on Tuesday, but the heat did wear me down a little. only a half day on Wednesday to finish the job and I woke up with a weird severe ache in my lower back(just like when I had Covid in Feb. 2020). really bothered me all day as the Advil barely made a dent. very tired(just like when I had Covid back in Feb 2020 and in January 2021) and back and hips aching badly by the end of the day. barely significant amount of chest congestion Thursday and Friday(just like when I had Covid back in Feb 2020 and January of 2021).got rained out, so did nothing Thursday and felt tired and generally not very good. I barely slept Thurday night because my back and hips were killing me. Felt like total crap yesterday afternoon, but I did see my Doctor about BP and Colonoscopy results in the morning. they took my temp and it was fine. It never occurred to me until Nancy started feeling bad yesterday afternoon what this might be. I slept well last night and I feel great today. Nancy feeling bad for two days. asleep now. something had a hold of me for a few days, but I can't be sure what this time. Delta maybe? summer cold? no problems with smell or taste this time.

So basically he gets a cold every 8 months or so. I remember a while back the data showed that 40% of people have zero symptoms. And the overwhelming majority remaining have cold and flu like symptoms.

See It's BS reporting like this that causes issues. What they want your mind to believe when reading this is "if you're vaccinated, you only have a 0.8% chance of having a breakthrough infection. Super rare right." The problem is they're comparing the total number vaccinated against the detected breakthrough cases. There's a massive statistical problem with that and it's that they can't show that every vaccinated person was equally exposed and had the ability to become infected. A true data point would be the total number who tested positive then show how many were vaccinated and unvaccinated for a smaller geographic area that takes into account percentages of vaxed vs nonvaxed
