I’ve been around. Mostly silent reading, lol. Work, Kids football and dirt bike racing keeps me busy… hope all is well!

Saw 11 this evening. Could be some doubles there. Everything is on the move, nothing standing around. I covered the wrong side of the funnel. The only thing that came close to me was a Fisher. He looked like he weighed 20 pounds, though he probably was just puffed up. Came up through the woods tm me to within 10 yards. He never stopped moving either. He looked like an otter for crying out loud. Erie County Pa. 41 degrees and steady nw wind and rain...

13 does. 3 dink bucks. No chasing or bumping at all.

Full blown in Athens. Buck chasing 3 doe tonight, several other doe running around all nervous and shit.

Drove the scouting loop tonight. As few deer as we have left, I think I saw all of them and a handful I didn't know were there. Two different fields had bucks and does. One had two bucks that never moved for over half an hour. Guaranteed a doe was bedded in the standing beans. The other had a small and medium buck with 3 small does. Medium sized buck was chasing hard.

Well it has blown up quickly with this weather front here in western PA. 6 bucks fighting and chasing last night according to my buddy. His dad shot a beautiful 8. More fighting and chasing this morning in another spot. Heating up!

Drove around today. With the standing water and high ditches completely saturated ground the does were high and dry tight to cover, but the bucks are out cruising. Might sneak out tonight for my 1st hunt...

Still think it’s early here. I’m sure a few does are being bred. I’m thinking come Thursday the big boys should be up..(Young ones 2year olds are up)

This cold front coming in will help with sightings.. I think Thursday through Thursday. Prime… That’s my arm chair prediction.

Where I’m at it seems they sweep different sectors of woods different times… (anyone else experience that?)

Guernsey ……. Regardless of when I’ll be out there.

who was out this weekend? Activity picking up? We are going to Guernsey/Belmont county this Fri-Sun. Just had a STUD 10 pt. show up on my spy/cell cam Saturday morning. First time I've seen this buck. So, I'm assuming he's on a hot doe. Cant wait til Friday!

Last evening from 5:30 until dark there were six bucks chasing does all around me. It was very aggressive chasing with one wide four pointer slamming his rack into a does rear end and lifted her off of the ground. This was in Vinton county. Slower start today with only one doe seen. Hoping it picks up and gets to be more like yesterday.

Taking the kid to school i saw a doe laying down with a nice buck standing 5yds away and another buck witi the ''hey mfer thats mine!'' bristled up walk 20 yrd away coming at them. Wide open bean stuble field. Its going to be a fun year.
