My little guy has been all over me to take him with me to get a gobbler. I woke up this morning and he was waiting for me. Really didn’t expect much more than hearing a bird in the roost but this bird had a death wish. Gobbled the hole way in until my son said “shoot daddy”

Finally went out this morning. Called in 3 Jakes...let them live another day.

Talked to some but they won't take a single step closer. Checked some cams, at least they are still using our property in mid-May. The improvements we have made seem to be helping. I can hunt every day through Friday but Tuesday.

Good luck silencing one!

I'm growing concerned over the population in this area after the resurgence of bobcats, but also some difficult environmental conditions in recent years. I'm see very little sign from turkeys, and other than opening weekend, it's been DEAD out here.

I'm with ya jesse. Haven't heard a gobbler since Saturday of youth. We don't have bobcats (yet) but foxes are making a comeback.

Gave up on the farm. Went to Egypt Valley WA so i can run and gun on thousands of acres and not hear anything. Cooper's with me and my brother has been playing with some around this area so here goes nothing.

Saw a hen with poults this morning...thats the 3rd year in a row I have seen poults in the 3rd or 4th week of season. They were really small used the binos to see them.

If I wasn’t so dumb I would have killed this stupid thing over and over. He’s given me every opportunity. I just can’t “deer” hunt for turkeys. I want to call or spot and stalk. If I would spend a day just sitting there quietly he would be dead. He gobbled twice on the roost and when he flew down I thought he joined others in the bottom so I made a circle to try to get on them. As soon as I got there I get this pic where I was sitting.
