As long as we don't freeze they will be fine. They just slowdown on growing. If they freeze they will turn mushy pretty fast. I found a nice patch on Sunday and left them to grow, I will pick them today or tomorrow. View attachment 177875View attachment 177876View attachment 177877

Thanks. Thats been a great stick, my wife got it for me 5 years ago and it's seen some miles. The topper works great for adjusting/training your eyes to focus on the looks and texture of them.

Not a lot but I'll take them! With the cold temps and all the pheasant backs I seen I thought it was October lol.

Picked a few and left at least a dozen to get bigger. It's truly amazing how big they can get if you leave them alone.

The shrooms should flush pretty good this coming week. I know it's been pretty spotty.

Picked the ones I left to grow and a bunch more that popped. Growth this past week was much quicker than the previous.

I am an out of state guy whos never found one....and i can tag on another 2.5 mi on our Athens property to an embarrassing large total. Was tickled to find a box turtle....and i suspect he ate all the morels that used to be there. lol

Some of the others I left to grow for a week (Just breaking soil) were mature and some were on the downslide already. I did have a few fresh ones that I picked, but not as many as the week prior.

I am gussing southern counties will dry up with in the week, there could be some low lands and north hills still producing. Central counties are not that far behind after that last cold front. I would say it's gonna be a banner year for the northern counties

Well I do believe that it's done for the year. Found 2 today with 1 to far gone to pick. I did find some fresh pheasant bucks for a older neighbor that likes them.
