I just went out the front door to get the mail and 4 more grays went running everywhere not 20 yards from front porch. One scurried up the nearest tree that has a den 60 ft up and the other 3 ran all the way home to neighbors woods where they live.

Jamie, if I don’t have any option but boiling in your opinion how long would you boil parts? I typically boil for about an hour or tad longer pulling out smaller pieces since they finish faster.

hard for me to say, Ric. I have never boiled a squirrel in my entire life. Do you have a pressure cooker? Instapot?

I guess if had no other option, I would simmer until a skewer, toothpick or something goes into the thighs like it was soft butter. I don't see how boiling for 1 hour could do it since braising is 3 hours at 325*.

Unless you want to can with it I HIGHLY recommend an instantpot. Pressure cooker,, rice maker, slow cooker (crockpot), can make yogurt, etc.

Hard boil eggs...all kinds of things. Ours gets used at least twice a week.

After it did a 1.5 backflip and gainer it ran towards barzebo. I gave it 15 minutes then did a walkabout but didn’t go far. Found it 4 ft off barzebo pad on backside. No apparent entry hole but Hims bleeding out the nose. They woke us up this morning cutting nuts still in trees over roof near bedroom. There were 3-4 grays nearby,

Upon further review, this females fur hid the entry hole tucked in the armpit and through the lungs hence the nose blood.
