Seems like that camera has done you pretty good Alex. Which model is it and would you recommend it?

I love this buck's rack. Little flattening of the main beam, nice curl, good height, a little character. Just an all-around nice buck.

Its a covert wireless black op, forget which year. 17 or 18. I have a 15 i sent in to get updated but havent put it out yet. I would recommend it just because of customer service. I have a 20$ 12volt battery wired to it in a little ammo box to keep it out of the weather. I use to do lithium batteries, but they only lasted 1.5 to 2 weeks. Im over a month now on the 12 volt! When i hunted KY last year they lasted well over a month.

I was at my mom's grave earlier today so I could get all the acorns off the ground. Kinda bummed out from what I saw. It was all rotten. I should have came out there like 2-3 weeks ago. Luckily, there was some on the tree of where she is buried at. I picked off as much as I could off the tree. This is all of the acorns I got. Good enough for me. Deer will be happy.

It didnt work out for me this early season, the bucks ghosted early september and made a few sporadic visit. Its not flawless. But the drought probably screwed with them. Baiting for bucks is pointless right now, unless your keeping does close.

That way when the deer is at the bait or approaching it you don't have the sun shining from you to him. A deer is far more likely to catch your movement if the sun is illuminating you from behind. This doesn't apply if the tree if much wider than you are, but those are far and few between.

Stopped at the feed mill for chicken feed and picked up some shell corn for the bait pike behind the house that Kaydence will be hunting over. They said they were damn wiped out of shell corn. Said 3 different guys from out of state had stopped and bought over 1,000 #s each. I bet with the COVID restrictions, bait piles and hunting pressure will be at all time highs this year.
