Our Tball / Coach pitch league has come to a close. We missed the first two weeks due to rain and had 2 games cancelled due to rain. Overall a wet year. We had fun. My daughter was the second best batter on the team following a boy. I am proud. We need to work on catching and fielding. Next year she wants to move to coach pitch softball for 6-7 year olds. I have already volunteered to coach again. I also discovered the other day my 3 year old boy can hit a coach pitched ball. I'm stoked and looking forward to good things to come.

Just got off the phone with a ringer; exactly what I need to kick ass and take names this summer! We are 3-1 going into this Sunday's game against the only team to beat us. We should not have lost that game, so I'm out for blood. This kid is 18, headed to college to play, and throws mid-80's with a nasty breaker. He'll be my new ace, allowing me to sure up our defense to the point that I believe an all-star team made up of the other 4 teams would have trouble beating my best 9-10 guys. We're in this to win it all and prove we are the team to beat. Sunday will be a test for all of us. If we win, we have sole ownership of first place and the rest of the league will know the road to the championship goes through the Misfits!!!

So the Reds decided to go 13 innings last night against the Cards, they ended up winning, but I sure didn't need those extra 6 beers I had during those 4 extra innings! :smiley_blackeye:

Reds lost 3 out of 4 to the Brewers this weekend. Cordero blew 3 out of 4 saves (maybe 2 out of 3)... but Chapman was throwing darts last night, no way they were going to hit his slider. Dusty puts him in in the 8th, he wipes them out 3 up and 3 down, and he brings Cordero in for the close??? I don't get it, why not let Chapman finish it... WTF!!

I'm all about letting him stay through July. If we don't have a winning recor between here and August 1, then get rid of him. At this point, I have to place more blame on the coaching staff than the players. TOO much talent there for this kinda of showing...

We won again this Sunday, getting revenge for our only lose with an 8-1 pounding of the Pepsi team. I went 1-3 with a RBI and another solid game defensively. Bloody Nock (my buddy Bryan that rarely posts) hit his first homer in 9 years, a 3 run bomb in the 6th to seal the game. Our new pitcher threw four innings, giving up only one hit. We are now in sole possession of first place and in the drivers seat as far as I'm concerned!

I say yank him and give Chris Speier a chance. Speier has served as an interim coach when Dusty served both his two game suspensions and the Reds won all four games.

Jesse, it sounds like your having an awesome summer in more ways then one.. Congrats on your wins..

My Buccos made some moves for more power in getting Derek lee and Ryan Ludwick, but now they've lost 4 staright. Ugh...

I know how you feel, man... The indians have been scuffling lately, too. Last night was a big win, though! Hopefully we can pull off another Boston sweep!

Hell ya, i watched SC the other day, my boys made a come back. I quit watching when they were like 0-8 in the early season. It seems like theyre always struggling with injuries tho.
