I did. Not sure how we can sweep two series, then get swept by a team we just swept!?! You'll have that though...

Cleveland really had their shit together lately... Offensively and defensively, we were on point.

Didn't think we got swept in Cinci, though... I thought we went 4-2 out of the 6 games.

No, we swept you in Cincy. Won 7-1, 5-3, and 12-5. We'll have to wait until next year to settle things!!! Although, you guys are up 42-39 all-time in the Ohio Cup, so we have some work to do in 2013!!!

The kids finished their regular season tonight and went out in stlye. Destroyed the #2 team. The score was 18-1 in the middle of the 5th. The coaches brought all the young kids into the infield and it ended up 18-7. Very similar at tuesday's game. Finished the year 12-2 and #1 by a long shot. Tournament next week.

I hate to say it but Dusty should have stuck with Frasier on third and kept Rolen in the dugout, they were playing much better with Stubbs and Rolen out. The Reds acted like they really didn't give a shit if they lost, almost the attitude of we swept you in Cincy and were gonna let you get it back in Cleveland.

Agreed. And I'm a Rolen fan...

This week has been enough to make me sick of baseball...completely! Our SS has been on vacation this week. We had 3 games. Lost two, tied one...yes, a freakin tie in baseball! Tournaments start Monday, and I'm not going to be upset if we lose. I'm ashamed to admit it, but I am ready to be done with it. I'm ashamed because my patience with lazy kids that don't do as instructed has finally left. I am completely out of "attaboys" for poor performance. I have three kids, maybe four on a 12 man squad that put forth effort and do as they have been taught. GAWD, this stuff is frustrating.

One bright thing with the All-Star team, at least they hustle. We've had a couple of practices, and every kid on the team will move to the best of their ability. Very little staring at the grass, and that is a refreshing change. If it weren't for Cotty's words of wisdom on this being the "weeding out" phase of baseball, I'd have killed a kid by now. :)

All-Star practice in the morning and I am looking forward to it - it will wash the memory of tonight's game from my mind!:)

Brock, most LL teams 4, maybe 5, kids who are decent players. Get past the 5 spot and you're begging for kids to get beaned just to have base runners. Don't get frustrated. Focus on the kids who care. Don't get me wrong, a few of the kids who aren't very good may very coach able. Stick by them too. But for the ones who don't listen fugg em. Don't waste your breath.

Good luck in the playoffs and all stars!

I went to my boys all star practice last night and I'll have to say their way better then his rec team was but I dont think their going to spank anyone but they should be pretty competitive. First tourny game will be next weekend so we shall see.

Had all star practice from 10-12 today. Some of the other coaches were sitting around in the shade talking about how burnt out they are from trying to teach kids to play ball...kids that don't want to play ball in particular. I was a little busy to sit in on the entire conversation, but I was glad to have caught that part of it. At least I know it isn't just me! The boys had a good practice, and it is nice to see there are in fact kids that listen and hussle, though we do have a few that get a little lazy. The pace of things moves so much quicker when you don't have to tell the boys EVERY move to make...like "throw the ball"!

Overall, I'd say this has been a good experience for me and Mason. I'm seriously hoping the boys show up to play on Monday, and am looking forward to having our SS back for the start of tournaments. If things go bad in the first round, I guess I'll be happy to be done with this part of the season. If things go as hoped, I guess I'll be glad they ended on a good note. Win-win come Monday!

Klay's team had their first playoff game earlier today. His team is the number one seed and had a huge scare today. They were down 4-1 at one point and tied at 5 in the 5th inning. Klay came up with a runner on first and 1 out. He roped a double to RC that scored the runner and then he later scored from third on a single for some insurance. They held the other team in the top of the 6th and ended up woth the come from behind win.

Kody's team is the 6 seed and they open up tomorrow morning against a team from Wellsburg, WV.

My sons team won their tourny championship Thursday night. Great season and congrats to the boys!

The league had one last championship game to be played on Sat am and the wife and I were there to help out. This is how we left the park after the final game of the season.

A girl on a minor team fouled a ball and it took out the back glass! The only good thing was that both of our kids had been in there sleeping earlier and neither were in the car at the time.
Yep I'm glad the season is over but I'm still looking forward to next year!
