Man that sure is a milestone for you two Cotty!! Heck I would have been happy just to coach that many games.....kids wouldn't have liked it but hey......LOL!

Our team is made up of 7 year olds. We scrimmaged an 8 year old team Saturday and won 12-10.

Our first game of the season is tonight, weather pending.

My daughter's team finally got to play in our first tournament this weekend! We have practiced twice a week since our team was formed back in August and it showed!! We won all 7 games, scoring 113 runs and brought home the championship! So proud of all our girls hard work and effort!!!

Addison bats lead off and she wastes no time getting our parents fired up!

Smallest girl on the field but has more heart than some put together, lol!

Hardware after a long weekend!

Did I mention that our team colors are camo and blaze orange? We not only played the best but we also looked the best!

Good stuff LB! With my daughter being a Sophomore in HS and having years of travel ball under her belt I can understand the hard work and commitment your daughter's team has put into that!! Keep it going!!

We took a beating last night 20-4. We are not used to this aggressive base running in our new league.
Kid hits a simple single and doesn't stop running until he gets to third base. The boys haven't got the concept of getting the ball back to the pitcher in a timely manner.
We will work on that this week.

LOL sounds familiar! In my son's league they can lead off and steal, something he (and most of the team) wasn't used to coming from Little League. For a little while it seemed a walk would turn into a run for the other team, give 'em time LOL!

Another long hot weekend of softball for Addison ' s travel team! We finished runner up to a excellent, athletic, well coached team from Indiana. Our girls fought hard and I'm very proud of them!

My son Andrew also hit his 2nd home run of the season and continues to pitch really good. Been playing a lot of ball!!

Addisons team won the championship at the Firefighters Memorial tournament at Berliner yesterday! We went undefeated and won in the championship against a well coached Lasers team in extra innings. I'm extremely proud of our entire team! Our girls continued to fight even though we were outta "gas" after another long hot weekend! They showed once again that we are one of the top teams around and it's because of all the hard work they put in!

Their trophy is almost as big as Addison, lol!

One of my favorite pics from this weekend! It shows the kind of bond that our girls are creating!

High School playoffs start tomorrow here in NH. It's a 16 team single elimination tournament. We finished the regular season 11-5 and got the 5 seed. We play the 12 seed tomorrow at home. If we win the quarterfinals are Saturday. I keep telling anyone who asks we can play good enough to make a run at the whole thing or we can play bad enough to get knocked in the prelims. It will be interesting that's for sure.

Our boys participated in an 8U Coach Pitch tourney this past weekend. We showed as our normal team but played against some loaded All Star combined teams.
We finished a respective 3-2 as this was our first side tourney played. We only got blown out on one game.

To top off the weekend in Game 5 my son went 3-4 with 5 RBIs, including our team's very first over the fence home run, along with the final walk off single to win the game in the bottom of the Sixth. I was coaching first base and was the first to provide him a high five as he rounded first base fist pumping in 7 year old style. A proud Father moment for sure.
I got the ball from the umpire for safe keeping to enter into his trophy case as his first ever legitimate home run ball.

Congrats on the moon shot!

....and that it was.

My 7 year old boy said he could hit one over but at 130 feet I didn't think he could. I figured he was good for 110-120' at most. I think he was doing a lot of wishing and praying.....and then it happened.

.....an, "Oh, Wow!", moment.

I'll need to find a ball capsule holder this week.

Klay's first homer ended up being a memorable one. The ball went right through a windshield parked over the LC field fence. LOL

The lady was kind enough to grab the ball from her front seat and give it to him.

Go Klay! On a side note who parks over the left field fence? That's just asking for it. Lol.

Here is thy Mini Me at bat in a scrimmage versus an 8U team that took second place in the State of Ohio last year as 7 year olds. This year they are 8 year olds. They are a very good team. They bat very deep into the outfield-team wise, all have excellent bat speed, and play excellent defense. It's tough scoring runs against them. You get better by playing against the best. Our good fortune is the fact this team is only 5 miles down the road. The "old guy" leaning against the fence was a one time star at OU in his early years. He was drafted by the Pirates as a pitcher once upon a time. Now he coaches every sport imaginable much like me. Big bow hunter TOO.
