I have guns. I plan on stealing other peoples shit 😂😆

You and about 95% of the population will be doing the same thing. 😅. Odds are when out scavaging you'll get shot by another scavenger for whatever's in your pockets though. However I will say the Mormons are known to be very prepared for end of times. It's a crap shot if they're equally as armed however.

Don't spoiled it. You'd think with the situation in Europe going on, that you wouldn't see a response like that.

I unfortunately live in the suburbs. Surrounded by liberal pussies who would run down the street crying as soon as I kicked in the door 😆. The entire neighborhood would be a free supermarket. Of course I'm joking about the whole stealing peoples shit....but found this eye opening....or maybe not.

It's such an interesting article. If republicans stayed and fought do they also get to decide who comes back when it's all over? I mean, in such a war, are republicans allowed to shoot people with purple hair or a suitcase full of skinny jeans? Because I'm willing to bet they aren't going to fight to save the country without doing a little house cleaning along the way.

I added 75 lbs of flour 50lbs of sugar and a bunch of active dry yeast to the stockpile yesterday. Flour being a core staple I want to have a bunch on hand for making bread, biscuits, cakes, rolls etc. You can get 25lbs for $9 from Sams. With inflation and fuel prices raging grocery prices are only going to get worse. Ukraine and Russia produce about 35% of the world's grain. The US does not import any grain but this is still a global market. As foreign grain demand shifts to other producers, our exports will increase. Couple that with increased foreign demand with fuel, inflation, fertilizer and seed prices, and I expect grain prices to rise exponentially as we exhaust winter reserves. A loaf of bread has doubled from this time last year and the price of canned biscuits, pizza dough, etc have more than doubled.

5 lbs of flour can make about 6 loaves of bread. 75 lbs should make about 90 loaves. A 5-gallon food-grade bucket holds about 33lbs and will keep for over a decade, just make sure to throw the flour in the deep freeze first to kill any weevils.
Do you think we're nearing the point to get just wheat berries and grinder or too tin foil?
Throw some rice in the bucket 👍🏻
Is that like when you drop your phone in some water, you put it in some rice, and then people come to eat the rice and fix your phone?

Curious, tossing flour in the freezer, how do you keep moisture from getting into it in the freezer? I'm assuming you remove it after some time and then just store in a seal-able container on a shelf?

Not sure I would have enough freezer space to do what I'm reading here. Two fridge/freezers and one medium sized chest freezer. They are pretty well full of weekly stuff and deer meat.

I run a pellet stove in the winter. Have a pallet that I store bags of pellets on in the basement.
Ran out with the last cold snap, so I went to Menards and bought another 80 bags.
Finished putting them up yesterday (got 'em in 3 trips).
Now I'm set for next winter. Bought 'em at $4.49 per bag and the 11% rebate
My guess is that if I'd waited for August or September to resupply the price will be up significantly, and who knows if there will be a supply problem?
I'm pretty happy with myself right now.
Topping off a propane cylinder at lunch at U-Haul.

Top it off and keep it topped off - any kind of fuel product - pellets, propane, kerosene, lamp oil, gas cans, 2 cycle oil, grease
Who knows when the shelves will be bare?

I put it in gallon bags and then in the freezer for 12 hours or so to kill any weevel eggs or larva then the bags go in a 5 gal sealable container. The flour in the paper bag it's sold in is good for a year per the date on the bag though. But who knows how long I'll actually have it so I add some protection.

100,000 people a month died of starvation in Leningrad after the germans cut it off in WWII and shelled their city food supply of flour and sugar. The seige lasted over 800 days, over 1.5 million starved to death from a population of 2.5 million. Murder for rations which was only 8 oz of bread was a constant threat and over 2,000 people were arrested for cannibalism.

In this same realm I have an amazon list of things that if I feel that we are about to shit a big one that I'm just gonnna load up and buy. Its a bunch of simple things such as extra mauls, axes, wheat berries, pieces for my grinders, some wedges, kindling splitters, and just other things that I can order and if things truly go to shit I'll take what makes it to me and hopefully ahead of the curve.

Just saw an article about mortgage rates climbing quicker than anticipated. Skimmed it. Could have missed some items. Wouldn't surprise me if higher rates at least cool off the housing market. Still a housing shortage, so there is that factor too.

My buddy pulls doubles and triples for the big brown shipping company. He said the hubs are slower than usual. Normally tax time brings a surge of stupidity and impulsive annual spending. He said they aren't seeing it. Reduced tax returns and increased fuel prices slowing consumption? I don't know. Nothing scientific here. Just things to think about. They might just crash this economy faster than mamy of us thought was possible.
