I've got a pretty good idea of where that will be. :smiley_blink: I'll make sure we give you some space.

I tend to bounce around but I will say that I have a couple of go to spots once the bucks start to travel. It's public land so I have alot of spots that I don't hunt until I get pressured out of my faithful spots. Looking forward to hearing the stories from you guys and I know you will find deer. Plus you guys will be down there a few days before me so no biggie.

Just a thought here.... Mike's cabins will get booked by other's coming in to town for a visit if we don't book them. I think we should fill up the campground first, and let the Rex tribe rent their cabins out to other customers. Those folks will book the cabins at Mike's, but would not likely book in the campground I suspect. Point being, I don't think we should cost them business revenue if we don't need to.

Probably a good idea. I think the campground would be fine anyway. Anyone who thinks it won't be... well... don't be a girl. :)

Well, heck, I'm sure the two cabins they have there will be far more comfortable than anyone is up at Coon's camp. I've done that sort of thing while hunting in New Mexico. Honestly, I am not a fan of "roughing it", the novelty of that wore off a long time ago, but I don't think the campground would be bad at all.

The first couple years were a hoot. The last couple have made me not want to ever return. Hope I can make it to the DEERCAMPMR this year. I agree that we need to set a date in stone so we can make plans.

LOL, this looks like a great time. Mike, you are going to want to remove this sign from Twin Oaks, along with the hot tub with this crew:smiley_clap:

I donno if they frown upon drinking in the state park. Rangers station is just down the road from the group camp guys, something to think about.

Might be a good point, Adam. I'm not a big drinker, but I'm not opposed to having a few either. The park rangers may not look at that too favorably if they happen to see it.....RED SOLO CUP.

Ya not trying to be a party pooper, but was just thinking if Rex's lodges are going to be out of the question, then there is no private land to sneak away to if we're told to keep it down.

It's a few miles from the camping in Stroud's to the top of Scatter Ridge.....Jesse you should know this road very well, we burned many of miles of fuel on it :)

If we are staying at the camp grounds I would be.more than happy to put in a 1/4 of one of the.cabins to have bunk to sleep on. If not I am no stranger to tent camping either. With a son who used to be in scouts we tent camped once a month all year long for two years straight. I have woke up in a tent when it was 9 degrees before.

I'm fine with sleeping in a tent or my truck. No need for me to drop $ on a cabin. Rexy has enough $ as it is, he doesn't need any of mine! :smiley_crocodile:
