Good job GT! Does the lab retrieve the bunnies? My husband had a beagle a number of years ago that would retrieve. I miss that.
Not a full retrieve lol!!! She brings them back some then starts to tenderize them. Her heart is in it big time like my lab but they are not built for brush hunting. Shes awesome on doves and finds them in corn or beans and retrieves them. Looks like rabbit hunting is done for a while with all the snow we got now.

You guys trying too rival Ashtabula county??? lol

Hey, I just figured out how to multi quote a thread! (Sorry but I got excited about that. :) )

You all have us beat for a change. A good portion of our snow melted on Sunday and then we had rain Sunday night and didn't change over to snow until around 4am. So except for a few areas of drifts, I'd say we have 2" maybe 3" of snow on the ground at the most. It's kind of cool not having the most snow for a change. :)

I'm hoping the rain forecasted for Saturday goes away.

We have school cancelled again tomorrow. Because of the cold I guess. Crazy...

Anyway, I'd like to take Molly out tomorrow but it doesn't break 20 until about 1:00. It depends on the wind really. We hall see.

Actually Mike a drizzle is perfect for tracking for her.... My three are a lot better when it's wet out.... Versus cold and dry.....

Had the day off work today so I spent about 2 1/2 hours in the afternoon out and about with the hounds. Well it happened again. My male beagle caught another rabbit. This one I saw happen from start to finish and he caught it on the run after about a one minute chase. It was crazy! Then on the way back to the house they got another one up and running. I shot it just as it was making a complete first circle. That's how it's suppose to work. The dogs did get an assist from one of my barn cats that was tagging along. They chased the rabbit into a bulldozed pile of brush. The dogs went into the pile but the rabbit didn't come out until the barn cat climbed into the pile with the dogs. LOL!
