cold shot

Makes sense to me. I’d feel the same way. I may buy some stingers for this season for the simple fact they stand behind their products with no questions asked.
I sent in a broadhead to Magnus once. Passed through a doe and hit a rock in the hillside. Bent the ferrule. They sent me a new one along with a Magnus hat… no questions asked. Great company to deal with. I’ve never had one spin untrue and I’ve never had one fail me on a deer.

Yesterday's from 18 was good.

Haven’t shot since Wednesday. First two of the day, no kidding, from 25 yards. I walked into the house to get my phone and Krista gave me heck for busting up an arrow. She mistakenly thinks I can do this any time I chose to. I always shoot the first arrow into a spot and then shoot the remaining arrows at that arrow... very rare that it actually connects so perfectly.

No complaints about the cold arrow from 30 last night.

Curious question, what do you all consider a "cold" arrow? To me, it's the first shot of the day. Period. I know a few people who consider it to be the first arrow of each session, no matter how many times per day they shoot.

First of the day, when it sorta hurts to shoot due to stiff muscles and joints. That’s the one I worry about most. I always shoot three or four before going to the target, but that first one is the one that counts. Yesterday I shot a beautiful first arrow from 45 yards. The next three were not as good but I was still happy because the first one is the one that counts.

45 yards😳. Could you of cleared the house? 🤣

It’s 55 yards from the sidewalk to the targets current position. That’s as far as I can shoot where it sits. Mason can get 80 by going to the side of the house. I can’t because my trajectory is too big and I’d be in the trees. When we have the targets out by the pond we could get really close to 200... a little much for me.

Trad Vane sort of day today. Disclaimer, this is shot #2 on the day. Cold shot from 30 was top-middle of the 6" center on the 18 in 1. This shot was more typical hunting range for me, 16-17 yards in steady rain. I only shot a few arrows and headed back indoors.
