cold shot

Today is evidently "one of those days." Everything just seems to be clicking. I draw, I see the spot, release, and the arrow goes there. Almost feels like magic. This is why I'm addicted to traditional archery now. Never in my life has a 6" group at 30 yards been so gratifying.

Yeah, it's a dirty trick the Trad Gods play on occasion.

I’ve been inspired. First time shooting the bow in a few weeks. Broadhead shot was a little back, should get the job done. The field point shot is giving me bad flashbacks of being low and on the shoulder. Second round was much better.

pretty good shooting today, gentlemen! for the last several days I've been shooing a broadhead off the deck (my "treestand") for my first shot, and doing almost all of my practicing off the deck after, too. sometimes I'll shoot a few at a bullseye on the bag target up close at ten yards or so just concentrating on back tension and good release, sometimes I toss a tennis ball around the yard with a judo point.

nice bow, Jesse. looks like Tracey Tricketts work. is that a Tree bow?

I was rather hoping this thread to be inspirational and motivational for myself and whoever else. keep shooting that thing, have much more than "...a little fun."

Tracey is a superb craftsman. damn shame his bowbuilding business went off the rails. he made some of the sexiest and best shooting one piece recurves I've ever handled. really well designed and built. a very long time ago he wanted a selfbow that he could actually shoot with his giant wingspan so we agreed to swap bows. neither us ever got around to it. sure wish we would have.
