It all don’t matter. They pick who they pick and play the games. OSU is a good team, lots of teams are, playing many games and getting beat up or out for injury clearly outweighs lack of time on the field.

In boxing you don’t get a title shot cause you picked up gloves. You have to prove your way there to earn a shot. Playing five cupcake games don’t consist in my mind a title shot, even if they are that good. Don’t matter to me, tv don’t consume me. Root for your team and someone will be there to root against. It’s what makes it all fun. Enjoy

You are the only one using the word deserve. The team is good and are dealing with the cards the have been handed.

I'm the best bull rider you'll ever meet. You'll have to take my word for it, I don't have to prove it. Screw all those other guys who played a full circuit and actually earned it, bump them out and put me on the schedule in Vegas. 😅.

Yeah...hype. the biggest rivalry game in the program. Let's just throw that game out to play someone else. Done lost your damn mind.

I think once they've been beat 15 years in a row it's not a rivalry but rather just beating up the poor retarded kid again. Nobody outside of OSU fans see it as an accomplishment anymore. 😅.

Playing half as many games, is half the chances for OSU to have injuries, half the games for players to get their bodies beat up and worn down, just makes no sense for them to be in.

Again, if all teams are not included, then the champion will be crowned with an *!!!
WVa just crowned a local High School football team as State Champs but with an *. Not all schools got to play due to Covid

What happens when it comes Championship game day and one of the teams can't play due to Covid cases?????
College Winter and Spring sports had no championships and I look to see it possibly happen to Football.

An asterisk is better than letting teams sandbag half the season and then somehow still make it against teams who actually played a full season.

@Jackalope you have to admit that OSU has a history of gorging on super sweet and soft Big 10 cupcakes every year only to get their shit pushed in when they roll into the playoffs slow, entitled and out of shape. ;) The only difference is they only ate half a dozen this year as opposed to a full box.

This is comical. Every single one of these statements can be argued both ways.

"Only played half the games. They are only half way beat up." Ok. . . .They also have half the games to get kinks out and have half the games to gel as a team.

Forfeited half the season is my favorite. That is such a laughable thing to read. Um. . ."Forfeited due to Covid" isn't the same as "our league suspended first half of season." You are at the mercy of your league and their scheduling. Things don't just change at the snap of your fingers. You don't just call your manager and say "Get me another fight. This kid has Covid and my fans want to see me punch someone".

Forfeits happen the week of the game when you can't play. Not when you are telling your league to get their crap together and get us a season started.

A decision was made prior to the season to never even attempt to schedule or play a game = forfeited.. Teams and conferences that scheduled games, who fully intended to play those games, but covid prohibited the game from being played = canceled or postponed. Many of those games were later rescheduled and will be played.. Plenty of conferences and plenty of teams put games on the schedule, played to the best of their ability, and postponed and rescheduled games.. The Big 10 threw in the towel before the season and never even tried. Any team or conference that never even scheduled or attempted to play, and has zero intention of making up games has in by all accounts forfeited those games. Those aren't canceled or postponed. Again, if teams like OSU aren't going to be penalized for never even scheduling games, then teams that did schedule and play games who happened to lose shouldn't be penalized either.

It should be the 4 most deserving teams that earned it. Not the 4 "best" by someone's subjective opinion. Even if someone claims "best", that is determined on the field, not sitting at home watching everyone else play.

It should be the best 4 teams.
Issue is the 4 best team question is very subjective. No way everyone agrees who the best 4 are.
So they way you have to help decide the best are to actually play games to atleast create dialogue and compare what teams have done. How on earth can an OSU team who might play 6-7 games, the toughest being Indiana, claim they are more deserving than a 9-1 or 10-1 team that plays a significantly tougher schedule this year? This is a historically bad year for the Big 10 outside of OSU
