I was just getting ready to post something similar. Looks like they'll play 8 games starting October 23

If the Buckeyes dont get in then the Championship will come with an *.... Clemson and Bama both want the Bucks to play so if they would win it wouldnt go in the books with an *....
The Big Ten screwed the pooch.
Even if they do play there's still no way OSU belongs in the playoffs. OSU will have played half the games as most of the teams in the top 10 and against a bunch of nobodies except for Indiana. In my opinion they sealed their fate when they decided to play half a season and start in late October. Beating an unranked team that OSU has beat every year for the last 15 years isn't an accomplishment. Even if they go undefeated and play Michigan, sad sack Texas A&M and Florida have had better seasons against twice as many opponents in a way tougher conference. Even as 1-2 loss teams they belong in way more than an undefeated buckeye sitting in the lackluster Big 10 and playing half a season.
lol, as I recall, they didn't deserve to be there in 2014/15 with one embarassing loss to a bad team and their second string QB, either.
Does anyone actually believe that who gets in is not as much about money, tv ratings, etc. as it is who the best teams are? the only fans that want to see 2 or 3 SEC teams in the playoff are SEC fans. the rest of the college football world surely does not. if OSU appears to be able to compete, the committee will include them. we can argue until hell freezes over about whether or not they should be there, but since none of us are on the committee, it's just a bunch of hot air.
