Flat out, it's BAMA, Georgia, and everybody else this year guys. Not to say they wont get bit by someone. I do think the potential is there for WV to outscore everybody they play. They have maybe the best QB and WR in college. I do feel ND is alot better with this QB change. Their lines are legit, but they did just lose a stud in Alex Bars to injury. I have no faith in Oklahoma, as I have think Texas goes in there and beats them this week. Osu has a trainwreck of a secondary. Good thing is they're young and have time to improve

C'mon Joe. I'm being real here. I can talk football without having my scarlet and grey blinders on. I'm curious who you believe are top 5 teams. Top 3? Outside of Bama (who I agree is a good team), who else has a shot this year? Who could give them a run? You have shot down just about everyone. Is there a team who is deserving of a top 5 or 10 ranking?
You know he’s gonna name at least another SEC team or two don’t ya Phil?!?! Imo, Bama won’t get tested until 11/3 when they travel into a hostile stadium facing LSU, a top 10 ranked team just like OSU did this past weekend. Auburn will be another test just because of the long standing rivalry but it’s at home so not as big of test.

The rankings are what they are. There's no denying that the teams who are there now are there for a reason. So the notion that just because I can look at a team without bias and see room for improvement, some need much more than others, has little to do with the AP ranking. There's no denying that OSUs secondary is a weak spot for the team, or Bamas kicker and punter suck, or that LSU has struggled with beating some lesser teams. None of that should change the AP ranking though, not at this stage in the season anyway. Give it a few weeks and we'll start to see what teams are made of compared to competitors.
I don't care if he does. I don't care if the top 6 teams or 10 teams are SEC teams. I was just curious what Joe thought. Partially teasing (Bama 1st thru 10th), but also because he picked a lot of teams apart. It didn't seem as if there was anyone left.

When you pick all the teams apart, it just means they all have areas they could/should improve. Not one team is a total package written for domination right now. They all suck in different areas.

I still believe and always will that teams shouldn’t be ranked until after this past weekend which would be now. Strength of schedule,record,injuries and how they fared after nonconference games and at least one in conference game should give the voters what they need to rank them CORRECTLY, imo.
I agree with Joe and others who’ve said that OSU’s defense beyond their awesome line has plenty of issues that need to be addressed and corrected or they won’t be in the playoff. I think the talent is there but confidence and youth might be an issue. I guess time will tell.

everyone can say what they want about OSU losing to PSU by a point, but playing in their house is in their stupid "white out" thing is tough for any team. their fans bring it.
Buckeyes are solid on both sides of the line of scrimmage. our linebacking corps is not playing up to par, imo. our secondary is deep and young, but very talented and they are getting better. better linebacker play will help out the DB's, I think. no reason they cannot win out now.
and another thing. "We are Penn State"??? fuck you, Penn State. that belongs to Marshall, and they suffered an actual tragedy in their football program. having a serial pedophile on staff for 20 years is not a tragedy. it's an abortion

Really like watching this guys film study videos that he does. Teams don't matter as it's really a very good position responsibilities and execution video for both sides of the ball. Each week before a Bama game I'll go load up their upcoming opponents previous weeks game and do something similar in my head. IMO it makes the game much more enjoyable to watch when you know the play style and habits of the opposing team and you get to see how your team handles them.
I also like to keep an eye on how potential opponents operate and will load up their games also. I bet I've watched more OSU football this year than any year in the past. Hell I've watched that Penn st game three times now. lol
