Basically a 4 loss team due to forfeits. Even if they aren't counted as forfeits they've only played 4 games. Hey CFPB. You bias is showing. 🙄.

Wow. Talk about a pitty give not overruling that LSU touchdown where he let go of the ball a full yard before the goal line. The damn ball even hit the ground at the half-yard line. But supposedly it was "reviewed" upstairs. 😅. Seriously. Hang a hundred on em Nick!

That was unprovoked. Lol.

If OSU doesn't make it to playoffs. . .I'm not sure how many would argue. I was happy to see them roll MSU with half the roster missing. Then again, MSU isn't much of a challenge this year.

this whole season is a joke. the leadership in the Big 10 fucked this up from the beginning, setting the conference up to be the laughing stock that it now is. OSU is the best team in the Big 10, and nobody else is even close besides Indiana based on what I've seen. my gut is telling me that Michigan is gonna fink out on "the big game". Harbaugh gonna take another stomping if they don't. how could his job not be on the line after the last three seasons?

agree. they have gotten worse instead of better in the last few years.

I think OSU can hang with anyone in the country, but rules are rules. I'll be disappointed if they don't get consideration, but won't be surprised if they don't make the cut. If we play and beat M and Northwestern, it's gonna be hard for the committee to pass them over. playing less games is more of a disadvantage, imo. especially for a young, suspect secondary. IU exposed how inexperienced they are.

They aint gonna play us. It also takes us out of contention for a title fight. After all the beatings we have handed them...they are gonna stick us.

Even if they do play there's still no way OSU belongs in the playoffs. OSU will have played half the games as most of the teams in the top 10 and against a bunch of nobodies except for Indiana. In my opinion they sealed their fate when they decided to play half a season and start in late October. Beating an unranked team that OSU has beat every year for the last 15 years isn't an accomplishment. Even if they go undefeated and play Michigan, sad sack Texas A&M and Florida have had better seasons against twice as many opponents in a way tougher conference. Even as 1-2 loss teams they belong in way more than an undefeated buckeye sitting in the lackluster Big 10 and playing half a season.

If the Buckeyes dont get in then the Championship will come with an *.... Clemson and Bama both want the Bucks to play so if they would win it wouldnt go in the books with an *....

The Big Ten screwed the pooch.

How would the buckeyes not earning a spot make everyone else deserve an asterisk?

To me there is a big difference in scheduled but canceled games, and games that we're never scheduled and teams sat out for half the season. The only teams that should even be in the discussion are the ones who attempted to play a full season.

lol, as I recall, they didn't deserve to be there in 2014/15 with one embarassing loss to a bad team and their second string QB, either.

does anyone actually believe that who gets in is not as much about money, tv ratings, etc. as it is who the best teams are? the only fans that want to see 2 or 3 SEC teams in the playoff are SEC fans. the rest of the college football world surely does not. if OSU appears to be able to compete, the committee will include them. we can argue until hell freezes over about whether or not they should be there, but since none of us are on the committee, it's just a bunch of hot air.

I've also seen OSU suffer some very embarrassing playoff losses to include getting shutout, so easy on the "we didn't belong but won" angle. 😅😅. 2014-15 made more sense. At least the bucks played a full season. And despite a horrible loss to unranked Virginia Tech in game 2 they still played #7 Michigan State and #11 Wisconsin. But the biggest thing that got them the #4 spot was the only other team with potential claim was 11-1 #5 Baylor who had played nobody. 😅.

It absolutely is all about money and ratings which I've said since its inception and its complete BS. Has little to do with merit, talent and drive anymore. No surprise really because the whole reason they got rid of the BCS which was based on a computer model that accurately ranked strength, talent, and schedule was because people were tired of the SEC winning it every year. People pissed and moaned enough that they went to a playoff system that is obviously rigged with a bias towards money and ratings and not merit. There's no more obvious evidence of that than a 5-0 half-season team in the number 4 spot. It sets horrible precedence and is completely unfair to schools who are trying to make themselves championship-contending teams but don't have the traditional favoritism or bring the volume of fans. If a team can sit out a half-season, play virtually nobody, and still make it to the playoffs then what the heck is everyone else playing for? What's the point? Why even bother pretending that it has anything to do with proving that a team is the best. Let's just call them exhibition games and get rid of the title.

So Joe what would you say if OSU makes the playoff and then goes on to win both games to be the Champions. Will you still hold onto your they don't deserve it mantra?

I do not know if they belong or not because I have not watched enough games this year.
