Brock: Drags are legal in Ohio, look at the trapping regulations. It states under the title You CAN do the following: 2.Attach a drag to a foothold trap.
As far as the drag goes. You can easily follow a coyote dragging a chunck of wood. I have never lost one. Also, I mentioned in my second post that a yote will have an easier time pulling out of a staked down trap vs a drag. They have nothing to pull against because the drag keeps moving. Some people might prefer stakes, but I like the drag method because it has worked well for me.
