Doggone good dog thread

We closed out a pure shit season waterfowl season this morning, but there was some light in the darkness today. Walked in the garage this AM with the e-collar and her neoprene vest and Lulu got excited when she saw them. No hesitation to put them on or hop in the truck. She legitimately acted excited to go today and that's a victory for her 5th hunt at 7 months old. The second thing that really made my day was watching her lock on to a group of ducks 200 yards out flying over the river today. Remi would never have seen them in his prime and she saw them before I did. Very intently, she stared them down as they flew through. Several times today she watched birds fly and that was fun to see. She's still water shy and we have all kinds of retrieving work to do, but she is showing signs of being a solid hunter.

She's built like a tank. Always said Remi was the Brock Lesnar of labs. She may be the Chyna of labs. Dog is built for jacking winged ducks!

Well really any mutt is a cur dog as the term simply means mixed breed. Certain breeds have came from this selective breeding like the black mouth cur, Catahoula cur or mountain cur. But a dog commonly called a cockapoo where they mix a cooker and a poodle is technically a cur dog but the name worthless cur doesn't sell designer dogs.

They 'say' he is black lab/whippit. Who knows.
He blew out both his rear acl's a couple months apart. Had surgery on one and then blew the other out and had the same done. Not good. Cost my sis an arm and a leg.

Today.... Not so "good" dog
