all fats can go rancid.... now tallow may take longer than others but it'll happen
Whats the recommended or best way to keep beef fat, tallow, from turning?

FANTASTIC thread gents. Been doing intermittent fasting for a couple years but since I gave up running due to back issues my weight has been as very uncomfortable creeper....

Looking fwd to this, I'll second Yuka app.

Freezing will keep it fresh practically indefinitely, refrigeration will also greatly extent its life. Mine sits in a cupboard, but it will get used long before it goes bad. Takes a very long time for properly rendered tallow to go bad at room temperature in a sealed container. I know for a fact that it will last a year in my kitchen without going bad.

Been busting my hump the last week since getting back from lake St Clair. With the remnants of the hurricane coming our way. Get everything prepped and then the cleanup afterwards at our place, we headed down to our sons place to help with his cleanup.
Sitting here and getting caught up with everything going on around us. Then it dawns on me, I don’t have any pain to speak of. No need for ibuprofen, or Tylenol. Ankle isn’t swollen and I feel pretty damn good. Trust me after cutting that tree up on that roof and maintaining my balance wasn’t an easy job.
So I’m saying this lifestyle change is working. Even if I’m drink some beers during this whole process. I ate a chefs salad last night for dinner, while everyone else had pizza, and fasting today through tomorrow evening. Lots of water and coffee on the menu.

I logged 108 work hours this week and feel pretty damn good. I have had some carbs this week but still haven't had any bread or anything like that. Been some rice and a little bit of potatoes. I know I couldn't of worked like this a year ago and felt okay. Been logging over 25,000 steps (12ish miles) a day too.

Just finished my last food intake(supper) which consisted of one bowl of chili, tablespoon of PB, and 1/4 cup of oyster crackers. That makes todays food intake was in 3.25 hour window since I had small lunch at 2:15. Going to try to replicate same schedule the rest of the week.
I did also have about 3 cups of 2% milk today between each meal, I’m only human 😆
