Thanks Jimmy, first one in my wheelhouse (cornfield) this year. Same field that I have my TC at. Last weekend, had 7 bucks still carrying. They hit this field on a regular basis and here for long I will grid search it. It's gonna snow the next 2 days, so I took advantage of this beautiful afternoon.

Is there any corn left in that field? Or are they just millen around.

Thanks Guys. To be quite honest, there's very little corn left on the ground, but enough to keep them searching for it. To answer Chad, yes it does take a lot of patience and a keen eye, but if you know what parts of the field to search. Your yield numbers improve greatly. Did I say luck plays a huge role TOO. Lol.

Well I must be unlucky cuz I just walked 4 plus straight hours in some of the best shed looking areas choked full of honeysuckle, greenbriars, cedars, tall grasses, waterways, winter wheat, picked cornfields with corn laying everywhere and buck rubs aplenty and found squat! Rotflmao

I must have walked 4.5 miles! Lol

Here are some pics:
Nice rub

Cornfield with several rows still standing and an idle combine. Corn is all over the ground!

A place I had high expectations for finding some sheds today

Huge unpicked beanfield that I'd have loved to be able to walk around if I knew who to call to get permission. Ugh...sigh

I walked the picked corn after work today for a bit with none found. There is still quite a bit of corn on the ground in my areas.

I want to thank Ron for his suggestion of always carry the binos when searching for sheds. I never really carried them before but do now and man what a time saver! You know, when you look across a field and see that white glow and walk 60 to 80 yards to find out it's a rock or twig and then walk back to your line. I saved a lot of steps today! Thanks again buddy!

I wouldn't even go without my binos! I've actually walked a good ways back to my truck due to being in a hurry to get them. I blame old age....lol

Yep, your welcome ole Buddy. They are extremely valuable for covering large fields, draws and scanning brush that is too thick to walk through. Good luck Jimmy.

Hey Bro! Your pics of your shed hunting land are great! That looks "NUTS", if you don't come away from there with a boat load of horns, there's something wrong! Good luck and hang tough.

Yelp! Prolly not as much as you. My daughters school cancelled classes tomorrow at 11:14 this evening. We mostly have about an inch of wet slushy snow but its suppose to start adding up later sometime. Calling for 4-7 inches.

We are pretty lucky here, we would have to pile it up a little to say we got an inch. Heck there's places where you can still see the grass. Don't hurt my feelings any!

Looks like we have 5-6 inches total so far. It should be gone by the weekend though with the rising temperatures that are in the forecast.
