Thanks fellers! So far the pic below is what Karissa and I have found so far.

Time is running out. Work around the house starts rearing it's ugly head and green up once again is arriving here in the SW before bucks drop their sheds....lmao

Karissa and I walked for a couple hours or 3 and got skunked in the shed dept but had a great time nonetheless! Here are some pics of our day.

These are all different big patches of Ramps...

This pic you can see another big patch at the top of the hill as well!

Karissa was walking this small drainage and about 100 yards below a pond she found this critter and hollared for me to come over to her. Lol
The water hole it was in was about a foot deep and a foot and a half to two feet wide. Prolly ready to lay eggs maybe?!?!
This first pic is after Karissa spooked it to retreat under water.

Glad we got our walking in early today cuz it was windy enough but this late afternoon it was near 50mph.... Ridiculous! This should put some sheds on the ground! LMAO

The cat can now be let out of the bag!!!

I found a very special deadhead back on March 14th. Problem was he had shed his right side just before an apparent collision with a vehicle by the look of his broken bones. Here is how I found him:

So I set out to look for his missing shed in all the places surrounding his final resting spot that I could get access to walk. After many hours and miles of searching I was running out of places in which to look until last night. I had went back to a farm that was 1.5-2 miles away to walk a part that I hadn't walked on yet. After walking it and heading back to the truck I meet a nice young man with a huge shed wedged down over his shoulder and a big ole grin on his face! He said, have you found the other side of this? Then a big huge sigh of relief escaped my body and I started smiling from ear to ear!!!

It was finally time that I got to see just how big the missing piece looked like and felt like! The boy had as many questions as I had, LOL!!! We talked for a good 15 minutes or so about this deer and his one and only brief encounter with this deer back in Nov. 4th while yote hunting when all he could do was video him inside bow range with his phone. These are some pics we each took of each other holding this impressive shed.

This is a pic of him holding this bucks last two right sides. Too bad the squirrels chewed up last years shed so bad!

After our little visit he showed me exactly where and how the antler was laying when he nearly stepped on it in the dark while his buddy and him were working his buddies coon dog on the 15th of March the day after I found the DH 1.5 miles away! This is the ATL pic:

After I found this deadhead I called the local GW and told him all about it and he will get me a salvage permit as soon as his schedule allows him too. I got right to work on cleaning him up and had him sitting on our coffee table as a centerpiece in less than week...lmao

Here are some pics of the process:

Here's one with Karissa's DH for size comparison:

Here are his jaw bones. He was prolly only 4.5 years old IMO:

Here's the final product:

Here are his left side measurements

G1-6.25
G2-7.5
G3-10
G4-12
G5-5.5
MB-27.25"
Mass-22"
Droptine-1.5
Sticker behind brow1"

I'll remeasure it again but his typical 6 point left side measures over 90"! The shed looks to be 8-10" less. We'll find out soon!!!

CLOSURE IS SWEET!!!!

I should know, I livedit twice in 4-5 months!!! rotflmao

Wow. Just wow. Did you exchange info with the kid? Any thoughts of having a replica of the kids shed to complete your dead head mount?
