Wow Ric! At least you have closure and know now what the missing piece looks like. Kinda meant to be running into the kid like that.
I will definitely ask him if money or some kind of trade would be considered but just glad it was found by a nice ethical young boy and finally seeing what it looks like and holding it and having closure is just fine by me!
Just too bad he died the way he did! After talking with him I also found out that several other hunters in the immediate vicinity were after him as well. The boy also found several tree stands 100 yards inside the property line where they shouldn't have been.

Holy buck... That is one incredible story and even more incredible buck. What a shame he died the way he did. Congrats on the amazing find!

The left side of this dead head is incredible! Truly a world class buck. 90" of typical antler is extremely rare and just how many G4's you ever see that are 12"'s? Lol

Ron sent me these pics last night to post. Don't know exactly when he found them this week but he found a matched set of a buck he hopes to run into this coming season. Don't know if he's named him yet but here are Ron's 19th and 20th sheds of the season along with the pic of the buck this past season.
