Slow morning other then hearing light sparring down in the holler. Can not believe I was not in the Woods Tonight! Made me sick to my stomach.

Good news is the Boss Lady is happy, and she is leaving until Monday! Game on

Just the day I needed today to keep my confidence up.

AM: Saw two bucks(not together) about 15 minutes after I got settled in. Somewhere around 8:45 I saw a group of Five Does, nothing in tow. Sat until just before noon and then boogied out.

PM: Hit the evening spot where I saw tons of action 2 nights ago. Got settled in around 3. Windy as shit. The kind of wind that makes ya think you should not be in a tree. It was crazy windy. None the Less, I was covered in does all night. 10 minimum. They where coming from all directions. One old nanny doe was hanging by herself and acting a bit goofy. I think she's starting to feel frisky. There had to be some bucks in the area, just never laid my eyes on one. Hard to pick out the deer with all the wind.

It was a great day. Confidence is through the roof. I'm getting closer to the goal, and I can feel it.

Going to keep hunting hard. Loving the 'ritual'

Hopes are high for this evening. Hanging a quick set for tomorrow morning, then climbing in the same stand from yesterday afternoon.

Really pumped up and ready to go after taking this morning off.

Oh so close.

Finally saw him on the hoof this year around 5pm. Thought he was going to walk underneith me but took another trail at 60 yards.

He was just millin through, lickin some branches. No response to grunt or snort weeze.

He was first deer seen. Had a family group of does come in after him.

He came right from the area i popped a stand up to sit in the morning. Gonna try to wack his ass going back to bed.

Msn, he's a beauty.

This cat and mouse game has potential to go a while. The previous two years he sticks around through winter.

I have totally lost focus on any of the other properties. Will get cams rollin end of the month and start the set up for my dads late season hunts. Will be fun to find one for him, but one thing at a time
