Well, due to family obligations(driving my folks, along with my dads new knee, down to north carolina for the holidays) Im down 2 more hunts before gun season. Tomorrow afternoon and at some point on wednesday.
Had a good sit tonight as a nice up and comer 8 along eith a dink did what they where supposed to.
Going to check the cam early tomorrow, and that'll give me an idea of my strategy.
November has flown by. My sights are still set on the buck ive been hunting. Hope he survives as i like my chances late season with him

Oh yeah.... Im ready to wack a couple does and fill the freezer up. Prob try to take one on my 'own' land early next week. Time to get my hands bloody

I would be to if I was hunting a buck like you are an had to leave. I'm a long ways east of that. If you were going to be close was going to tell ya to bring your bow. Its been pretty good around my area lately. I was planning on heading back to Athens for a few more days, but wife wanted me to stay around the house.
Good luck in your next couple hunts Gordo. You realize how tired you are going to be after dragging the big boy out and then trying to drive all day the next day? Bet it will be worth it. This is my way of saying: You are going to get him buddy!
Of course when i was in north carolina ole boy showed at the cam just after shooting light twice. Had to b staging under my stand. lol.

Im back to where i need to be in terms of getting back in the groove. Im feeling really confident. Just need to execute when the opportunity presents its self.

The one thing ive had this season more then any other is confidence. Not sure if it'll get me anything when sll is said and done. I guess we'll find out.
Its been a great season just being able to keep tabs on that deer and trying to connect all the dots.
Best part about it: its only december 6th. Got a ways to go

Thats the attitude you have TOO have! Perserverence helps hunters kill many mature or certain targeted bucks over the years. Good luck Gordo on your quest and if it happens it will be the most rewarding feeling in the world and if it doesn't pan out you know you gave it your ALL!
