Just glad to know I'm not the only one out in this weather Gordo.Stick with it and it could happen anytime.I really enjoy the late season hunting.Just wearing the right gear sure makes it easy.Good Luck.

What are you rolling with to stay warm out there?
Late season is fun. Its a whole different feel. Can see a long ways to which is good and bad.
It always amazes me to think how these animals survive. Its a beautiful thing
I layer up with some fleece underneath and cabelas stand hunter bibs and parka.Also a good berber wool fleece balaclava.It is pricey but I never get cold.Money well spent and should last your lifetime if you take care of it.Also have a woolimate pullover with windblocker I wear when I don't need the parka.I always pack the parka on my backpack just in case I need it.Good pair of cabelas iditarod pack boots which are actually lighter than my rubber boots.I have accumulated all this over the last several years and wouldnt waste my money on anything else.Actually with the bibs and parka you really don't need a lot of layers underneath.
Still got two pairs of the mickey mouse boots. My old mand bought them about 15 years ago. I thought he was crazy as shit when he did. lol
Use to wear the mickey boots years ago and they are good just like my pac boots better and they are lighter.I know the sportsmans guide still has the mickey boots for a good price.
Its to the point ive been dreaming about it. Checkin weather constantly. Lookin at google earth constantly. Reviewing shit tons of photos. Im all ate up, and its getting worse by the day. Time to put it to an end!

Been cranking up my bow shooting a bit more lately. Been doing the one arrow a day since season. Now im up to shooting just one, but multiple times a day.
Hoping for that <20 yard chip shot.
May make a move tomorrow that'll be kind of guerilla style.
There's great creek access that puts me about 15 yards from a nice pinch point. He's using. No mature tree's, so i'll walk the creek and wedge myself in a drainage just out of it.
The adrenalines going to be a pumping if he show's face.

If you get this rascal Gordo I'd keep his hooves and mount them with the head for a bow or gun rack. Love the white hair just above the hooves.

I know where he's coming from but would like a bit more consistency. He been changing it up a bit lately. Need another cold front to get here asap. Plan is to intercept him.
