I most always backed in all my life.

Started with driving a muscle car in the 70’s. Ya always made better entrance with that engine loping, slowly backing into your spot. 😎

Now, in the oil field, living on a rig site, you may need to make a fast getaway an aint non o us gots time for a boy backing out if shit hit the fan.

Growing up on the farm and working on my dad construction crews I learned at a young age. Guess it’s just habit now backing up. I will say my truck has a back up camera and as much as I said I wouldn’t use it, I’ve found myself using it more and more and not watching my mirrors as much. I do love the camera for hooking up trailers. Curious how many of you guys have become reliant on the camera and neglect the mirrors?

Hooking up a trailer has become easier with the camera. If I’m in a position where I had too pull into a spot and have too back out (usually it’s the wife’s SUV) the camera on hers has a wide angle and you can literally see a car coming from either direction a couple of spots away. It’s a nicety, especially as I get older….

J would know this road but the rest of you won't. Back in the day 2 cars drag raced in reverse on RT 165 from East Lewistown to North Lima a distance of about 2 miles. 165 is relatively straight but narrow and hilly.

Not sure how fast they went but I know the one guy involved and he would gone balls to the wall.
