Less deer + full moon + shitty weather = zero daytime rutting activity

This weekend sucked balls. I just submitted my vacation for the rest of the week. Working a half day tomorrow, then I'm off until next Monday; then I'll work two days and be off from Wed through opening day of gun. Still time to get things done...

Just back from Guensey county. Got decent 9 point on 11/11/11....Nothing huge but I'll take him for only having three days to bowhunt at home in Ohio this year. He came in alone first thing in the morning right on the scent trail I laid out.....Man do I love bow hunting!!!! My buddy had a big ten running a doe all around him. Couldnt get it to stop long enough for a shot....Other than that just a few small ones this weekend, no real crazy rutting going on.

Tue, Wed, Thur, Fri was all pretty good days saw alot of action from younger bucks but then it was like somebody turned the switch off I didnt see a single deer this morning but I refuse to give up

Jd told me it has died up around him... His buddy sat in a stand Friday night, saturday and sunday and saw very little activity.. This is after 3-4 days of chaos rut..

It was dead in my area Thursday thru Sat. My buddy was out last night, said he saw a couple decent bucks one being the 150 I missed. All he said was he seen a huge buck pass by his stand and head towords mine. he sat in my dads stand that night. It has to be the one I missed. I would be really surprised if it isn't. He has to still be in the area.

weather is supposed to break some by shooting time in the morning and then Thursday morning looks REAL calm and dry as the temps drop again.

Just saw 7 deer out in a picked corn field. One nice buck following them.

Kate just sent me a text on her way to school at Hocking. She has seen three huge bucks this morning all with does, pretty much hovering over them. On a huge 12pt, biggest deer she has ever seen she says.

Saw a nice road kill yesterday morning and a basket 8 killed this morning. Seems movement has been picking up over the last 2 days from my road sightings.
