Settled-in right above a bedding area.

Seen 4 antlerless deer this morning during the heavy fog hunt, looking for their beds.

I got down @10 & headed home to get more things done before gun week.

Good luck this evening everybody!

We had a Great Night! Joy got to see a shooter but he wouldn't hold still. He basicly checked the corn pile for a hot doe and moved on.
I had a hot doe show up and 3 bucks chasing her. One was a buck Joy would shoot and he stopped long enough to put the crosshairs on him.... The third buck came after dark. Standing by a bush waiting for Joy and he came flying by me like a beagle with nose to the ground. Headed in same direction the others went. It was pretty cool and no mess.

Oh I’m not complaining. Just not ideal deer hunting background noise lol

That’s the thing about hunting when it’s nice out. All the neighbors come out to do stuff too. Part of life. Leafblowers running Kevin?

You got that right !! lol. I had to sit & listen to my neighbor blow away for 2 hrs. Then, I knew what was coming next ..... he then came down with his tractor mower to mulch what he blew into the cul de sac. His next door neighbor got in the act & helped him blow the cul de sac while the other continued to mulch what was there. Then the blower guy then blew the yard down below me in the last 1/2 hr of good light. Right before they finished, I had deer coming in from different directions, but all veered off due to the noise.
That just goes to show, be there no matter what ! As much as I wanna scream, this is a very good spot not matter the time of day. My cams are showing good buck activity. New rubs are popping up everywhere. I'll pop something, just enjoying the ride. Better that than getting one early & whining about my season being over which I would surely do...lol

I keep thinking about that. I'm in no urban area per say. Just a housing addition surrounded by miles of woods & fields. The deer do put up with a lot of shit & that always amazes me.... we all know that. In the woods, if you make a slight move, they'll pick you off at 70 yrds. I can sit at my campfire & they won't even see you when they walk up. It only looks easy when you're not after them. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Woke up an hour ago and can't get back to sleep.

Guess I was more excited then I thought lol. Pouring rain here right now and I keep wondering if I'm insane to go out today lol. Plus side is that most guys won't be going out so I might just have the woods to myself this morning.

Can't killem if I ain't there I guess.
Be safe and have fun fellas!

This is my morning “hunt”. I’m going to drink coffee and sit in my dining room looking out the window. If a doe shows up at the corn pile in the backyard I’m going to put on my orange vest, grab my muzzleloader, sneak out the front door, around the house to the shed and then shoot the deer. I’ll go do a real hunt this afternoon but probably have a better chance here with the coffee.
