A big cold skunk. Im now enjoying my beverage...lol. will only get one maybe 2 more sits due to softball, volleyball and basketball.

Yes they are! This is what we all begged for all year, it’s finally here! Any time of the day would be a good time to be out.
I remember last year very well. Snow on the ground and extremely cold out. I was discouraged to say the least...But there was "no deer on my couch" so it must be time to hunt. To my right I finally seen movement. A 3" spike walks out. And behind him follows a very wide 8 pt. with extreme caution....watched him fall about 30 seconds later!

Why is it I have a group of deer wander through my backyard only in the evening? Last night it was 8 deer around 7PM and it included two very large does.
Because someone is feeding them...hang a bird feeder.
They are picking the remnants out of my garden. I watched a couple bed down in it the other night. Wish they wandered through during daylight hours as I still have one tag.

I've got corn & bird feed down. For whatever reason, they're only coming in 6p & beyond as well. Last year this time, AND during Oct- mid Nov. They were here 24 / 7 it seemed. There wasn't any gun pressure as usual, so I dunno.
You sir, win the dedication badge. A treestand in this weather doesn't seem safe. Doubt if i could draw a kiddie bow in this cold. Good luck

Yes, I'm getting my share of hunting in no doubt and I'm loving every minute of it.
Trust me, I feel extremely blessed that I'm able to do so...
These current winter conditions right now take me back to the day when I was a kid living on the north-shore of Oneida Lake in upstate NY where we'd have 2-3 months of it.
