Saw 7 deer today total. Most of the afternoon a young doe grazed and hung out right in front of me. She looked spooky at first like a buck was following but no good. Late this afternoon I spotted a big mature doe who looked like she was heading down the trail behind me. The big buck i saw earlier in the week grunted and nudged her back into the thicket and no response to the doe can or grunt call. They were on the other side of the woodlot so too far out of range.
I’m hoping he makes a mistake soon.

I'm out in the pop up, just arrived a bit ago. Two deer where here to say goodbye.
LOL not hello? Thats funny. I was giving them a pass and shut the alarm off until my wife said we had an inch of snow and it’s still coming down. So got out ten mins after first light. No deer spooked. I think theyre in the cut beans behind me a few hundred yards.
