Lone doe did exactly what I need in this spot. Hoping there's a lonely boyfriend somewhere! They say to hunt the bedding areas during the rut and in my area, those can be anywhere. But this one is as well defined and used as it gets!

Back In. Dead quiet as usual. I have yet to see a deer in legal shooting light in two weeks. That's absolutely insane for these two properties . Started my rutcation this morning and to be honest I'm more excited to be away from work, not so much to be hunting. Hopefully something changes soon. Good luck to all who are out

Know those 900 numbers where you can call and a beautiful woman in lingerie will describe all sorts of things to you? Well, I don’t need that. But I need to be able to call someone and have them slowly describe what it’s like to have a live deer come into range. Cause it’s been so long. What the hell is going on? It’s November 8th.
I climbed back in the horse. Different property. First morning hunt here. 2 does 200-300yds away. A lonely 4 pt getting his steps in. My spike that has 4 pts and looks like an antelope. Closest bing 45-50yds. Good entry. ENE wind. Man did they sun get bright. Should have brought sunglasses I guess.

One very big doe browsing straight upwind of me, appears super relaxed and alone. Hope that changes
2 does 600+yrds crossing the freshly cut corn fields to the N.
Another lone, adult doe followed the script as perfectly as could be done. No bucks. What the absolute fuck?!? I have lone does in front of 2 cams on other spots of the farm right now too. There's a hot doe with 47 bucks locked down somewhere not here!
The bucks are on one somewhere, just not there. Yesterday I watched a two bucks locked down with a doe in a cut corn field… I first saw them the night before… Then there they were, over 24 hours later, still together. Meanwhile today driving around I see at least 8-10 antlerless deer in 3 different groups, without a single buck among them. It’s wild.
That's what sucks about being committed to the same patch of dirt, it's just waiting game for them to break loose. I will 100% have other options next year. If I'd have realized the value of this spot in 2005 and not have treated it as sacred, I'd have killed more bucks out here. The more I sit here, the more I realize it's the best spot on the farm by a long stretch. I foresee some winter work to perfect the setup and add a W wind option. Many deer will die here in the coming decades.

Only deer seen this sit. Beautiful 22yd foreleg stretch. Just wasn't quite there. I had hooked up almost drew... coming back up for gun with my boy and figure I haven't hunted gun for... 14-15 years so not shooting JV players now!

I've had the same buck on cam for 36 hours. He left for a half an hour and came back without any tines left.

No movement at all this morning up until ten minutes ago. Watched two does feed through with no harassment then proceeded to watch a mid 140s 10 pt track them down grunting the whole way. He seemed like he was on a mission. Hopefully things start getting better but I’m ready for this all day sit
Rare sight here, a 1.5 year old 8 point. Gonna be something special. Again, did exactly what I need a mature buck to do, but with the wind, he was in my lap before I knew it. Kinda noisy out here.
