Well I got in about 10 minutes later than I wanted.
I left absolutely no stick unsnapped on the way in got to my spot spilled my coffee .

Absolutely perfect entrance. I’ve saw 1 spike 1 small 8 so far.

I have yet to hit my grunt tube sorta scared too. I don’t want to be ran over by 24 deer and seven 180 class deer like on Tv.

At this point in the game I see a lot of little kids next weekend shooting some big bucks getting their pictures took in their pajamas.

Anyhow I asked ol Lady this morning if she wanted to play the rape game.

She said no I smiled and said we’re off to a good start see ya tonight.

Sorta funny this time of year I don’t know who gets more stressed the deer or the hunters.

Good luck to yins out. I got a ribeye steak here beside me I’m about to eat.

Then watch the day go by.

Still not time yet in my mind. Feeling it’s going to be a slow long day.

Not really sure what to say, other than I planned on being settled in over an hour ago. Absolute cluster fuck. If a fawn presents a shot I’m taking it out of spite . This, once again, is stupid. I hope everyone has better luck than I, fugg.

Definitely my best day in the woods for the year. Lost count of how many deer I saw. At 615 I was pulling up my bow and 4 does worked in to 30 yards. I’m hunting a field edge with little cover so I was froze. Deer kept filling the field. A small 5 pt and decent 8 pushed all the does around. Saw the buck I didn’t want to see. Real nice 10 pt but a little thin and g3s are weak. Definitely a 150” deer. Made a hard pass on him at 30 yards. Then he proceeds to circle me and make me make the same decision twice lol. Told my buddy if he does it again I can’t promise I will let him go. A decent 8 followed him and that was it for the bucks for now. Saw 30+ deer this morning. I’m sure I counted some of the same deer twice. Deer just now left the field and I was able to get my jacket and gloves on lol. Good luck guys!

Just had 3 mature does come through at a very steady pace. Lead doe looked back a couple times, but nothing else has come through yet.

I'm stupid. Was wrapping up my gear to climb down when the woods went nuts. At least 2 small does and 2 small bucks chasing like mad. At one point the 4pt was chasing her up and down the creek. Not along the edge. Right down the middle of the creek. I watched them come and go for about 30-45min. Decided there weren't going to be any big bucks join. Climbed down to go eat and get some work done. I know better. Oh well. If the big boys show up I guess they will be safe.

This is dumb. No way I make it to 2 if this wind keeps up. It's brutal right now. Add in the neighbor running a boom lift setting trusses and I can't hear shit.

I took 2 bucks, 2yrs in row each on 11\8. Weather was just like this each time. The 1st buck was fighting in the middle of the afternoon. So yeah, I consider this day the magical day of the rut. ANYthing can happen.
