Had some serious chasing the last 20 minutes or so. They were tearing up the thick stuff in front of me. I couldn’t ID the buck but at one point the doe ran out right to the base of my stand. Stood there panting and went back for more, he never followed her out. Beautiful evening

Was another great sit in the blind this evening. I believe this was her seventh hunt and they all have been a blast. A few minutes after five we had 30 plus turkeys walk with in ten yards of the blind. 12 of them were Jakes and put on a show fighting with each other. About 5:30 a nice doe and yearling feed in the clover but the doe never came closer then 30 yards and didn't presented a good shot and was watching the blind nervesly the whole time. The yearling did present a shot at 20 yards but Sydney said she wanted a bigger one for lots of jerky meat.😂 Around 5:45 the buck entered the field up on the hill and seen our live decoys and with a steady walk he came right at us as if we were pulling him on a string. Moments later he was sniffing the ground in front of as the does took off with his approach. I knew he was not going to hang out long. Slightly quartering to us I held her off and right on que he turned a little more broadside and stepped forward with his near front leg. Just as I said how she let it fly. Right through the rib cage I knew he was hers. I stuck my head out the blind watching as I could see heavy blood pouring from the entry hole. On a dead run 50 or 60 yards was all he had never even making it from the field. 😁 She is so proud of yourself and knows what happened was very special moment. The joy on her face and the words she shared with me were amazing! I've been blessed with more great bow hunting memories and trophies then most men can even dream about! I'm putting this one up with the best of them!! Thanks for letting me share with y'all TOO! 🦌 A couple more pics from the hunt

In and settled right on time. Even under perfect circumstances, it takes forever to get to this set. I'm back in one of my favorite spots, same one as last night. Gotta bail at 10:30 for dad duty. I was hoping for a quiet morning, but all I hear are head gates rattling on the dairy farm. It's feeding time 🤦 Last night, I listened to dirt bikes, quads, a combine, and a skidsteer all night. These rural hunts aren't any better than the urban ones when it comes to noise!
