Day 3 and pretty much seeing the same cycle of deer throughout the day. Small bucks, single does and some chasing every once in a while.
Still seems early, most of the time the bucks are just feeding through. But every once in a while their nose to the ground and moving.
Both bucks I saw tonight were just feeding through.
We’ll see what happens tomorrow…..

Conditions are awful but, I got next two weeks off work, I have a shooter daylighting at this spot and it's some stage of the rut, so I'm in a tree.

Looked up & spotted big bodied deer 60 yrds out headed my way. He stopped & stared at something to his left. He turned & went back over to the left. It was then that I could see nice wide rack ....

Slowwww morning in the November woods. Other than the doe I spooked at the tree and a 3yr old at first light, nada. Bout to climb down it was 71 degrees when he showed up the other evening, maybe it'll happen again tonight.

Had a memorable hunt last night! Not much of a story to tell, was pushing a couple does and gave me a shot and the rest is history. Thanks Brock and Mason for helping me get him out. Weight before gutting was 275. We had a hell of a time maneuvering him. He was an old deer and im happy but not without the feelings of sadness that come with it. A deer has to be right everytime and we only have be right once. That's a hard way to live.

Damn fine Dandy buck!

Was looking for one, be happy with one of that bucks kids, for two weeks, but never got one in front of me or on camera. Amish and the outfitter been baiting heavy since Sep.

I have a couple days with kids to harvest big does in gun season, don't want to shoot a buck with a gun so now looking fwd to Bow season '25 for a Dandy.

OH on Sunday, TN Today with the kids, FL for two days then CO Fri to help move daughter into her first home . That's why I went and got spanked on the pre-rut.

I stayed till just after 0930. Spied a small bedded buck on the way out at 40 yrds.

Well that was an exciting 2 minutes.... only problem was it was a WV 11pt and a nice 6 pt and not any of the bigger guys on my list. But they had no idea i was there which is a plus
