Bumped something on way in. Probably cat or coon. Wasn't huge. Didn't blow or stomp. Rattled at 7. No deer seen yet. Garrett got to hear several gobbles on the roost for the first time ever. Feel free to send any scrub bucks our way guys. Any antler would be a great first buck for him. Plenty of time to be picky later in life.
Had a shooter work the bench for 100 yards too me. He got to 40. Bedded down. Got up worked a scrape and came to 30. Then turned at the last second and went up the hill. Shit
Momma and her doe fawn didn't like me rattling. After 5 minutes of trying to find the source, she got nervous and left. Reminded me why I never rattle. It's so quiet, I couldn't help myself. They were behind some brush and I couldn't see them while I scanned the woods before starting.
1 spike came through before daylight. Looked like 4 bucks chasing a doe about 1/4 mile away in another field. Seen a coyote going across the field carrying something. Somebody kill something, I'm gonna go kill a plate of french toast or something.
