Good luck guys. I took the day off after not seeing anything yesterday. I'm running 3 new electrical circuits for my 3 case trimming machines. Got it rough in yesterday afternoon and just need to button it up and hook the 3 plugs up. Then put the insulation back in the wall. Damn I hate working with fiberglass insulation, covered head to foot. gloves and face mask. I have 9 motors running and it need 3 different circuits and tired of the cords running everywhere. This way I won't have to shut down and reset the GFI switches.

Check out these bucks...

Sat this morning. I'm sure we've all been waiting for this weather all season. Beautiful morning but didn't see anything cept. some real fat tree rats. I'll be going back out and sitting on the edge of a standing corn field between a bedding area. Hoping a monster walks by! Checked the cam where I eat this am and every morning except this morning I had a good shooter 10 point walk thorough. I'll get him soon. Good luck guys!

Just got a call from dad: "Just seen the biggest buck I've ever seen on the farm standing out in the front hay field". Just so happens I was 60 seconds away, so I hustled over and caught him crossing down in the bottom and up in the neighbor's, then in to the adjacent farm that I hunt. Nice deer, but I don't have binoculars, so I don't know which deer it was. I'm hoping he went in to the thick bowl to bed down. Was going to hunt a different propety until this...

I almost killed a really nice 8 at 11 . Not giant but at least 135 . He bedded about 80 yds from me so I grunted twice . He laid there a few minutes then got up and headed towards me . Could of shot at 40 but i opted to wait since he was working to me . He ended up turning and walking off .

It'll be a waste of time, but it's hard to ignore that kind of intel. Dad's out there all the time and rarely sees deer, let alone a shooter. My uncle was with him and they both know what I consider to be a good deer and both said it was a shooter. I think it was the big 9 I call Farva based on how dark his coat was and it appeared to be a tight, tall rack. I have sticks on the north side of the bowl that gives me good access and is perfect for a west wind. Just need to hang a stand, which will suck with my foot. No pain, no gain.

He's probably in the next county by now, but if he laid down in that bowl or in my sanctuary, I can get within 300 yards of him with ease.

Getting ready to take my daughter out to that blind I set up for us. Between me and you guys, I hope she gets to see some deer but I hope they don't present a shot. I'm really not in the mood to drag one out of the woods tonight but will if I have to. She wants to go so I'm not gonna say no to that.
