Two deer at last light, one was a doe and the other had antlers.... Not very big as I thought it was a doe at first till he turned his head and tried too mount her but she stepped away.... Hung out in a thicket until it was too dark too make them out.... Waited 20 minutes got down snuck out without blowing them out....

I've never even seen a deer like that, let alone have him at 32 yds. I've also never felt physically ill over an animal. Thanks Jesse, but I am guessing he was a cruising giant from who knows where' that I will likely never see again.
At least you didn't wound him, it sucks to have an encounter and not be able to close the deal. That's why we keep going back.

Congrats bluespruce!!!!!!

As far as my evening, had my nephews bday party and of course that meant I was driving home at 5:20, right when I knew I should have been in the stand. In the first four miles saw 9 deer out feeding.

That is a good look BlueSpruce.

Garrett and I had a pair of young bucks with a doe. One buck wandered off. I figured he had his butt kicked earlier and was conceding. The doe disappeared from sight but the other buck milled around. I think the doe bedded. Then the buck started walking back the way he came and the doe got up. She wandered around with her tail up but never more than 50yds from where we last saw her. We tried some grunting with the True Talker. I used a younger sounding buck grunt. Not the deepest grunt it can offer. I know they heard me because the woods were dead silent. One time the buck stopped and looked around but never turned direction. Would have loved to have seen Garrett get a crack at one of them.

Another great hunt tonight. Lots of field edge action from 3:30 on. Had a decent buck come into to 12 yards straight on before he busted me. Saw the big boy again too.

Saw the biggest 3 pt I've ever seen lol. Looked like a mule with antlers. Came in straight to the feeder I put out Thursday afternoon. All in all not a bad day. At least I can confirm there are still deer living in Ohio

Thanks for the encouragement fellas. I will be back at it with the old man in the morning. I am putting him in the hot seat where the action was today and I am going in with the climber. Good luck to everyone in the morning.

Well, I know I smacked him good with the way he ran away and the blood with bubbles in it. The thicket he's in is so thick I can't see anything at night. I'm not sure but I heard a deer bump while I was trailing him, I mean doesn't mean anything cuz there was 7 other deer around so could have been them. Who knows. I'll go after him after tomorrow's morning hunt.
