Sit in a stand with little expectation as there logging it, First light had a small doe under me , then about twenty min later two does came out and fed for twenty- thirty min, then a little spike came in.
After they left, about 45 min later heard running no grunting, looked to my left, saw a doe with a small 6pt dogging her.
Watched him breed her, then they just stood there not moving except him twitching his tail, looked like she was locked up and couldn;t walk.
THEN i heard all kind of shit happening and out walks a ten about 100/115 inches of antler, bulldoged the small 6,(he checked out) walked over to the doe witch hadn't moved and preceded to rape her.
First time i have ever seen deer porn while sitting on stand. Did not hear a single grunt.

Does wil not move for quite some time after being bred, saw it a few times over the years and once last year.... Same thing, small scraggly looking buck chased her down and bred her.... Unfortunately no buck came in for sloppy seconds......

Around 9:30 this morning on my way to vote I saw a nice shooter 10 point walk across someone's yard, cross the street and walk into the woods on the other side. This is a deer I would love to have a shot at and he was walking around in the open 3 hours after sun up. Picking up around my area for sure. Now I just gotta make more time to hunt!

After those two left, another doe came in on the other side of the thicket. It was grunting too, so it must have been that first deer's mother. She about busted me since I was standing & thinking it was a buck coming thru, but being smoked & having ever calm saved me as she worked downwind of me. I'm moved to my popup since they were all going by it & maybe a buck will follow.

Fun sit! Took Isaac (5 years old) for his first tag along hunt. We jumped something walking in, as anyone with a little one could imagine. But once settled in for a while, we were on a nice bank overlooking a big old growth hardwood patch. We heard a grunt and He got to use the primos can. A 6 pt immediately came rushing in grunting up a storm looking for a girlfriend. Buck came into less than 10 yards, Isaac was so excited and sat so still, we let him pass it was only 4 pm. After that the wind picked up and weather began to change. Glad to hear everyone's updates!

Had 4 does come through right after I posted last up date. That young buck chased one away from the group. Couple minutes later a basket rack started dogging the others. Was still going on when I snuck out. Fun sit. Need an older buck to show face!

Made a feeble attempt at a hunt tonight. Didn't make it to the stand till 5. It was a light drizzle. Turned I to a flat out rain. Would t have been able to shoot if I would have seen something to shoot.

Did some road scouting tonight. On my way back to the office at 330 I saw what was probably a shooter but too far to verify. He was trotting across open field from one woods to another. Left shortly after 5pm to do my road report. I saw several deer out in the fields. One was a mature body but couldn't tell on antlers due to darkness setting in. He was in the front yard of one of my hunting properties! The number of bucks cruising was amazing. I have NOT seen ANY of this until tonight. Guess I might have to let the boys run the second crew on their own tomorrow. I really should lead by example, but tomorrow I doubt this happens.

Seen a shooter 8 across the field, head down working my way but he was still 150 yards out. Never even looked my way when I grunted at him. He was on a mission. Hoping he's around tomorrow.
