The deer are moving boys ! I've gotta work this weekend & I have this curse where I wake up way before the alarm goes off. As I'm laying here, I was hearing something kinda odd. The bedroom door is shut & at first I thought the Weim was pacing around wanting to go out. I got up check for him & it wasn't him. I got back in bed & a bit later I heard it again. Something outside was moving around. I got up again , went down & turned on the outdoor lights. We have a large water garden right behind & there was a 8 ptr chasing a doe around the pond. Lol, no way was he gonna catch her. They both just stood there looking as I was yelling thru the screen porch. Finally she took off with him following. Just my luck...lol.

I killed a buck last night . Misjudged him badly. Made a good shot and he went 50 yards and crashed . He had broken his beam off on one side in front of his G2 . Big bodied deer but the smallest deer I've shot in 15 yrs .
A doe came through followed by a grunting basket 8.
Hopefully something bigger read the same script.

Seen 4 yesterday rattend in two small bucks. Now really impressed with the deer movement here in Tuscarawas county right now

I'm in a tree. Great morning to be out but no deer sightings yet. I have about the only standing corn around maybe 20 feet to my right. On my last tag for my home county here so it has to be a big buck.
Took me over an hour to get TOO my stand this morning. Saw shadows on the field edge. Multiple deer were feeding in a fresh picked corn field. Had to skirt the edges slowly. They eventually fed around a corner. Good frost on the ground this morning. Hopefully catch one on his way to bed.
Nice crisp morning here in Meigs county. This is my 1st sit of the year, but I have 9 days off to get it done.
