Drew shot 4 yesterday am and 2 in the pm.





He shot 3 more this am.


9 in the first couple of days. Probably give them a break until cooler weather returns..

Big ol' fish! Great write up as well. Congrats on the big catfish and good start to squirrel season. Looking forward to following along.

Drew was sick most of the weekend and Addy was busy with volleyball and softball both days...did make it out late Sunday and Drew added 3 more for 12 so far. I deep fried 36 "squirrel wings" and 50 fish fillets and shared with Addys team on Sunday. Gotta restock again, lol...

Found one out sunbathing yesterday...lol. its hot but we are still going.

Finally got Addy out for the 1st time this season. Her time is limited due to vollyball and softball...

I had too much stuff to get done around the house but finally got her back out for the last half hr. She knocked another one out but i couldn't find it...pretty thick in there so who knows but we looked forever...

Addy added another this eve. This is her 7th season hunting and im very impressed with how "stealth" she is sneaking thru the woods...way better than her brother and I. Probably helps that she is barely 100 lbs...lol. great night, lows 70's and no wind.

Stands are hung and we are patiently waiting for better weather that is coming...we ran out of deer meat by may so our plan is to shoot early and often...im coming out of retirement and will be hunting close to drew this yr, carrying my bow for the first time in years...kinda of excited to hunt some after guiding my kids the last several years....i wont be carrying a weapon when taking addy but drew is more than ready to do his thing without me being right beside him.

Drew and i both were skunked tonight. It stll felt good being out and in a tree...i really didn't feel like cleaning one tonight anyways...lol. will probably wait for the right conditions before we go again.

Drew and i are on the water this eve...he has caught a 10 lber and a 3.5. Mine was 5lb...still looking for another biggen to finish the yr...lol

Fried up the catfish from the other night. Kids are out of school the next 5 days but Addy has softball Saturday and Sunday in Cincinnati. Taking Drew hunting tonight and tomorrow eve. Im going to take vacation Thursday and get addy out for her first sit in the am and fish in the afternoon. Drew wants one more fish outing and im done...its deer season! Lol

Buck that is showing up at "Addys spot"...

I told her no does early on due to some recent pics of the bigger buck during the daylight but id cave if she gets a good shot at something that makes her happy...lol

Addy passed on a big momma doe with 2 little ones at 20 yds...hard to hold her off but after pulling card the other day, multiple daylight pics of the one she is after we agreed no doe tonight and held true to our plan. Back out in the am with Drew. Told him buck only if he wants to fish in the afternoon...lol
